It seems cars are moving out of KC in 4-7 days, but there have been some forum members reporting 2 weeks.

So...its a coin flip. We are here now, but I still have my fingers crossed for a 3 week shipping delivery ? . Probably will be 4-5 weeks though. My current car registration expires in like two weeks and I am refusing to renew it. I will also have to put in one more tank of gas (hopefully my last) today.

I got my hybrid car 10 years ago, so I have to only fill my tank every 3 weeks. I actually forgot how to use a pump for a while during the pandemic because I only filled up every 2 months or so. ?

Keep in mind that they don’t have any other checkpoints between Laredo & KC. See if Ford chat can give you a railcar number.

I have yet to have an update in order tracker yet, its a good resource, but not the definitive one. Most of my accurate updates have come from Ford Chat and calling the rail company.

I'd use the Ford Chat to get a more detailed accounting of the vehicle transit status. They are pretty cool about looking that up for you. All you need is your VIN and Order #.

Yeah, I think one of the challenges is that the "shipping information" section at the bottom in Order ONLY refers to the Palsapp/Jack Cooper Transport part of the transit. Many cars could have arrived in Kansas City according to Ford Chat and the KCS customer service line (still in the rail company's custody) but not yet 'received' by Jack Cooper (the trucking company). My car was in KC for at least two days before anything updated in the shipping information section. And there may be some system update delays going on too. My vehicle skipped right through a few statuses (paired, dispatched) that I was expecting.

My car reached Birmingham (Norfolk Southern) today morning, and is also heading to New Jersey. Is it possible that the train is leaving today instead of yesterday ?

Oh awesome! Is the train traveling to New Jersey or to Delaware though? Because I believe there is a United Road pickup from the Wilmington, DE ramp

On a closer reading, I'm realizing the link I provided probably doesn't tell us much-- it's providing intermodal schedules, which might be different from automotive train schedules. Not really sure.

I think some NJ-bound cars end up in Newark/Elizabeth, NJ and others end up in Wilmington, DE. My dealer seems to get cars from both. There may be others.

My car sat in Kansas City (Birmingham) for 6 days prior to being loaded onto a Norfolk Southern train yesterday. It left this morning at around 3am heading East!

From Ford Chat today:

"It looks like your vehicle was received by Ramp 6R at Ramp 6R, Richards-gebaur, MO on April 19th. Your vehicle is shipped by Kansas City Southern Railway Co and your railcar number is KCS 008119.
It should arrive to your dealership between May 2nd and May 8th."

Ordertrack shows it as In Transit and then under shipping information it shows Rail / Pending/ Paired with my dealer city listed as the destination and Freight ID of 1362367608. And again this is heading to MI.

Not really sure what any of this means but I'll keep everyone posted if anything changes.
