Love love love the red. Wish I was bold enough to order it. Looks absolutely gorgeous. Congratulations. And to think I doubted u when u said it was gonna be a great week for our build. Lol.WOW guys, it's home.
I kind of went off the build week thread grid the past couple days as my car got closer-- I just wanted to be extra safe I wasn't tipping off my dealer about how excited I am about this car just in case they wanted to pull any shenanigans. As it turns out, I didn't need to be worried-- everything went great.
My car got taken off the train car on Thursday the 12th-- at that point I was bracing for delivery at any point. United Road updated on Sunday night to tell me the car was scheduled for delivery to the dealership Monday. By late Monday morning I noticed United Road update to "in route", and it was delivered by noon (soon after, I got the "Complete your Purchase" email from Ford). I couldn't get the Complete your Purchase website to work at all-- the Financing link just errored out-- so it was completely useless to me. My dealership didn't reach out to schedule pickup until the next day-- the prep/charging/detailing was done by that afternoon, and today (Wednesday) we spent about two hours getting paperwork finalized (half of it was just waiting around for the Finance Manager to be available).
Couldn't be more thrilled. X-Plan pricing, full $2,500 Options Rebate and 2.49% Ford Options interest available from the time or order (January) honored with me hardly having to bring them up. All in all, with very little down payment, my finance charges are completely covered by the rebate. So I'll still be coming out ahead vs a cash purchase.
Other tidbits
-Got the Interior Protection Package but the carpeted mats were still in there as well. (from others, this seems typical)
-My dealer let me put $2500 of my down payment on my cash-back credit card. Nice to get a tiny extra rebate there!
-Applied the deposit towards my down payment with no issues-- no need to get a refund/fight for it back, etc.
-X-Plan's $100 doc fee cap is MUCH appreciated-- doc fees seem quite high in NJ.
-No sales tax-- New Jersey may not always have a lot going for it but no sales tax on EV's is one of them!
-Price protection-- not relevant for me as somebody who ordered in January but no doubt in my mind they would have honored it based on my positive experience... There was no need to push for anything.
-Trade-in-- we're going from a one-car household to (at least temporarily) a two-car household-- plan is to eventually give the Fit to family who will need it more
-Only thing I was sad about the dealership experience was not being able to see a Lightning (dealer hasn't gotten there's yet).
-For those in New Jersey wondering-- I went with Malouf Ford-- very happy with it all.
-It was just over four months from initial order to delivery for me. Other than a few GT's that I've seen sale through the process quicker, I know I was VERY lucky to get the car that quickly--my 20+ week estimate was 18 weeks in reality.
First Impressions
-Not sure I'm noticing a bumpy ride like a lot of others have mentioned in other threads. Maybe it's just because I'm coming from such a basic previous car (Honda Fit) where I feel everything.
-I haven't turned on 1PD yet, wanted to make it home first.
-Rear-View mirrors are indeed tiny, I'm going to miss the blind spot camera on my Fit for city driving.
Thanks build week thread for all the moral support and info over the past few months. It's been a great journey and nice to be home. Now I'm going to sit back and cheer the rest of you on as you get your Mach-E's (and maybe do a bit of driving as well).

They have had my car ready for a few days now. I was not ready. I needed to close on my house yesterday (Don't ever buy a car right before you close). So the house is all done and I have my loan paperwork all set. I am going to the bank to grab the check this afternoon and heading to the dealership at 2:00.See! That wasn't a long wait! ? hoping for the same!
@mattwhoo , how are you doing over there? Your car took a completely different route than ours. The three hours that separated us on that one day with the trains turned into a 5 day time difference for delivery to the dealer.
Congratulations in both fronts!!!!They have had my car ready for a few days now. I was not ready. I needed to close on my house yesterday (Don't ever buy a car right before you close). I guess if this thing drags on for another week or so I will contact the dealer to see if they can find out anything. The dealership is about 100 miles from where I live, so it is not like I can just swing by after work..haha. Patiently waiting is a virtue right? I think I have met all the Ford chat agents at this point.I hope that someone (dealer maybe?) can get @dark_ma773r unstuck. That’s just unacceptable at this point. Congratulation and Just wanted to give this Forum a big kudo's and thanks for all the inside information provided with how to use xplan , ford option and incentives etc., yesterday with the Dealer we have gone over with Ford Options and X-plan , i did fill up Ford Option online but Dealer did not had a way to get that info so filled up all the paper work basically star over spend good 2.5 hrs , they had put a some one else SSN and said I can not use XPLAN code , have to put them correct SSN now every thing straighten up , this is first time Dealer is doing Ford Option application learning experience for both of us , schedule to pickup tomorrow very exited , I am glad I went before head to complete the paper work so I don't have to wait when I go pickup my car...are 1st sight. Even though she was taking a bubble bath at the time??.
We didn't even ask or entertain the Ford options cause we wanted to purchase not lease and plan on having long time ?. 0/36 is what we choose. Only hiccup was we didn't tell them at the time of ordering (Oct) that we were x-plan members as our price would have adjusted then. So we are waiting 30-45 days to get a check back for price protection. Don't expect there to be a problem. Found out last night at bunco that one of my friends...her hubby is the GM of that dealer. Told me to come to her for anything ?. Nice to know she's in my back pocket. Won't use that weapon unless ABSOLUTELY necessary. Checked her inside and out. Must admit, was VERY hard to view with a critical eye when my eyes were glazed over with?. But I did try VERY hard, cause I didn't want ANY crap. So much to learn. This process is sooooo VERY different from any other purchase.
In the past, u just walked in and bought a car. Because of the 7 month of waiting and the rollercoaster i started shaking yesterday afternoon b4 buying and still shaking this am. Couldn't sleep last night, kept thinking bout her in the garage.
So excited for the rest of you and can't wait to see pictures and ur reactions.

Drop your VIN. I'll see if I can find any intel on United Road for you.I wish there would be a "Happy Accident" and my car somehow miraculously showed up at the dealer here in VA prior to June 16-22. I am happy to see everyone taking delivery of those beautiful looking machines.
