I would buy the car and then once it's yours make clear to them that you will wait before filling out the dealer survey, and if they don't provide the rebate to you by the expected time (not sure what that period is, but they will be getting that $2K back from Ford) you will be providing Ford with a very poor rating of their dealership and will also publicize this on review sites and forums.I have never seen anything like it. Basically Ford rep confirmed with dealer that price protection exists but dealership told me they are still going to charge updated MSRP due to supply chain shortages. Effectively they are taking $2000 markup from me. if I don't buy car they sell it to someone for even more profit with 5-10k markup. I will buy the car and hope ford corporate takes my complaint seriously and cuts me back the check instead of dealership.
