Like moths to a flame, it’s literally the same 6-8 guys working overtime to convince other MME owners there’s a real world problem.

Yeah, based on his own words (post history), he's "privileged" and 25% of his posts are on bashing on people who complain about the 5 second limit.

Moving on...

Realistically, most drivers don't need more than 150hp. We just want what we paid for.

Yep, Ford implied rather heavily (video with the quote: "So fast it made me sick") that we were buying a track-ready car. Then @0t60-3.5 gets his car and we more or less immediately know about the 5 second (or less) limit. The GT badge is supposed to mean something. The GT-PE was supposed to be a step above. ?‍♂?

Honestly, I still care about this, a lot, but I am also a little resigned to the limit. Still steams me a bit.

Right on... exactly why I bought the car, for the GT and GT-PE stepped up performance and what that means in a Mustang. The car was likely the first world-wide delivery of a GT, yet alone a GT-PE, on August 19, 2021. Within 10 days I had it on a drag strip.

When I posted the results from the track, people responded "you must have let up on the pedal" or "too much weight (driver & contents)" or "can't be right, try again"............ I responded that I felt that great initial acceleration but then midway the acceleration stalled - and I was left feeling "come on, you have more than that!"

I feel like someone from Ford corporate should fly down, update your car FIRST with the increased power limit, then hold a press conference with you at the local drag strip to show us the results.

You have been waiting longer than any of us to have this fixed.

Would also love for them to spring for a before and after Dyno test. Would actually be some good press for a change and some welcome transparency.

Just thinking here but I believe people are focusing too much on the HVBJB. If I recall correctly the 5 sec limitation was forced on Ford by the battery manufacturer. This limitation was in place well before the HVBJB issue reared its head. I am not going to argue as to whether lifting the 5 sec programming will affect the old/new HVBJB but there certainly is more to the situation. There is also limited information on the failure rate of the updated HVBJB so no real idea of how well it is performing with the beefier contactors. Agree that active cooling is probably needed to really solve the problem
I’m thinking American muscle is trying to get us some extra horsepower here, but I think they might wanna check the vehicle They’re trying to advertise upgrades for lol
