Qmerit was a waste of time for me. They had 3 companies and only 2 responded. One quote was $2,500 and the other was $3,500. The $3,500 was even trying to sell me a new power panel claiming mine was due for replacement which it wasn't. I looked up electricians doing Tesla installs and went with one that was $1,700. I have a 120 foot run as power panel is on other side of the house from garage. This had to be run through my attack to my garage and included the outlet plus they even installed my JuiceBox charger. Took 2 guys about 5 hours to do. They also came back to run a line from my house out to my barbecue island that had a outlet for a reasonable cost that I received quotes 2 to 3 times what they charged.

I got a quote of $750 from a local electrician! Crazy low. I told him I wanted to make sure to use an industrial 14-50 outlet, and he said "they are all the same, all made in China". This scared me off. I have done a lot of electrical work myself, so I decided to do it myself. This way I know it is done right. I am in the Chicago area, so all metal conduit required, and almost 100 feet mostly through a crawl space, so it was a lot of physical work, but I got it done.

Honestly, I'd have done it myself if not for the conduit work. I had a few weird bends (around a 4x12 beam along the garage ceiling) and running conduit along the ceiling was more physical work than I could handle. What I'd save in installation isn't even close to what I'd pay for another spine surgery.

Could also just buy your preferred industrial outlet and instruct the electrician to use it.
At our previous house, I bought the breaker, the wire, and outlet and then found an independent electrician on Craigslist to work on an hourly rate until he was done.

I hear you, it is a lot of work. I am far from an expert at bending conduit, but luckily I only needed two 90 degree bends, so I bought the pre-bent pieces. I know, electricians out there are laughing at that, but I got the job done! You are right about the spine surgery though, my back hurt for a couple days afterwards .
