So since last week the car went basically dead.

No more charging of the 12 volt battery and no more charging at all.
Starting the car only gave a stop safely now message.
I could not change gears to neutral other then the towing option that does able you to switch to neutral.
No powersteering, nothing. And boy that steering on this car is REALLY heavy.

My first assumption was the feared HVBJB, but the curious thing was that i got 0 error messages in Fordpass.
So off to the dealer and after 3 days troubleshooting they decided it is a good idea to totally replace the HV battery.

So the story will be continued, because it needs now to to get transported to another city to get in queue of replacement.
I honestly do not know how long this is going to take.

Hoping for the best, ill keep you updated here.

I would think they should have something more definitive than a "good idea" to replace the entire battery.

This is what the reception of the dealership told me, i will be investigating more on this offcourse. But as the order for HV battery has already been given i presume they know what they are doing ?

As long as that's practice while under warranty I'm ok with that. But once it's my $$ forget it. This is probably the first car I'll get an ESP for in decades.

Be careful in checking over that ESP. Most I have seen don't cover the EV drivetrain components.

Those components are already covered by the 8yr/80k (or 8yr/100k not sure which is reality these days). It's all the other crap I worry about. Like hey, door module and BCM go kaput. I won't be pleased.

"I don't know exactly what's wrong, let's start by replacing the most expensive component first."
sounds like the receptionist was confused and didn't know the difference between the battery control module and the battery.

LOL I hope the dealer has codes or they won’t get Ford to pay for warranty service. 😱🐩

Could be a language/region translation issue, but in North American Fords, BCM is body control module.
I bet @Arjan needs a BECM, which didn't translate well into Dutch....
