I made sure the software 'recall' update was in my '21.... and just drove normally. I got the SVS thrown about 2 weeks later. The software will catch the HVBJB as it is on the way out, limit your output to prevent bricking, and put up the ServiceVehicleSoon message rather than stranding you.I'm just doing road trips in my '21 GT waiting for the HVBJB to fail. I hate the background anxiety but Ford says they won't replace the junction box until it fails completely.
Once the SVS has been thrown, you can continue driving while your Dealership orders replacement (via their COPIS process) and you should have the part in a week, replaced in a day, and back on the road.
