Did you test drive before purchasing?

I made sure I test drove the exact model I was buying. ER AWD. I aso tried an ER RWD model for comparison.

I would NEVER buy a car without test driving.

My dealership had an AWD ER courtesy vehicle that I took a quick drive in before mine showed up. I remember being under impressed and planned to order a GT right away. I thought it might be worth waiting a few years and chose not to.

I drove my personal car before buying it. This was last October, and the dealership at that time had several Mach-Es in stock.

Back in the day, with the "original buyers". we had to reserve first, late fall 2019.....then we were told when we could order, summerish 2020......then receive car early 2021 (many of us).....so no time for a test drive, no cars at dealers.....Ford did have a Mach e "tour" when we could sign up for a viewing at a local dealer.....some of us got a ride-a-long, but not a test drive.....drove mine when I picked it up.......as a side note, some of us waited from Nov. 2019 to Feb-April 2021, some 15 months, worth the wait

ps....waiting 12 months seems pretty good to me, hahaha.......and I hope my dates are correct.....

Test drove another MME from the closest dealer. Bought online and didn't test drive.

I can't remember the last time driving put a smile on my face the way it did when I test drove the Mach E. Highly recommend, even if you're not going to buy one, if only for the experience.

Yeah this will be the case for almost anyone who ordered a GT and took delivery already.

Because most of the GTs on the road were ordered April of 2021 and they didn’t start getting delivered until the fall.

Only people who picked up cancelled orders would have gotten a test drive. Or maybe someone who drove a cancelled order in the fall would just be getting delivery now.

My first time driving one was in October at delivery (before signing of course).

I had my wife test drive the demo since it would be her car. The 1PD mode and acceleration speed scared the shit out of her. That was good enough for me.

I didn't like that fact that Tesla didn't let me drive my Model Y order until it was officially mine.

I liked the fact that the Ford Dealer allowed me to drive my Mach e order before officially buying it. I had found a similar model ~8 months before hand that I had drive before taking over a mach e order.

I’m trying to find one to test drive but no luck so far. They’re all sold before they even arrive here. I have an order and I’m hoping I’ll be able to try it out long before it arrives.

I test drove my local dealer’s mannequin. Like all mannequin’s it was a premium AWD ER. Ended up buying two Premium AWD ER’s from different dealers.

I just could never spend $60K on something I didn’t even know if I would like Driving. And I have a 5’11” 15 year old son. Had to make sure the back seat had plenty of room because who know’s how big he’s going to get. Obviously we liked it because we bought it twice. But not being able to test drive it was what kept us from ordering early.

I drove a MY then ordered my MME when I could’nt find one within 3-4 hours drive to test out. I kept looking and finally found one to test drive. Still waiting on the car, though.

The way I read your question you are asking if we drove the actual car we were buying prior to singing the papers and closing the deal. My sense is that most of the replies were answering a different question: whether we test drove a Mach E prior to buying one. I drove an AWD Premium before ordering back in October and agree it’s a good idea to take the car for a spin when it gets here (who knows when that will be…).

Yes, I narrowed down my choice to a few cars after a lot of research but wanted to sit in and drive them in person before confirming a purchase and placing an order. I couldn't actually find one on a dealer lot but found a salesperson that personally owned one and let me test drive it which was pretty cool.
