My dealer confirmed they requested the front license plate delete, however, it did show up on my Window Sticker which was released yesterday.

When I ordered my Mustang Ecoboost back in 2016, I made the same request. The Front License Plate Bracket was also listed on its Window Sticker as a NO CHARGE option. The bracket showed up in a box with the car and the dealer did not install it. I still have it on a shelf at home.

So far, it seems, that is not the case with the Mach-E. It is not a deal breaker but sure hope it comes in a box again.

I have not confirmed that the dealer deleted the bracket but I have no cause to believe he didn't. I asked him to change my battery from standard to extended range and he did that so I have to assume he took care of the bracket as well. I don't have the window sticker yet on the VIN tracker so I can't see if it's on there or not and it wasn't listed on the screens of what is on my car. I am scheduled for production May 24th so I have a long time to wait and see. I have my fingers crossed. Have you checked the VIN tracker? Why don't you try that and see your window sticker.
It is on my window sticker

Just wanted to confirm. At my request, My dealer graciously made sure to order my vehicle without the front bracket; there was no front bracket listed under optional equipment on my window sticker; and I live in a state that does not require front license plates. My vehicle arrived yesterday WITHOUT a front bracket. ?

There shouldn’t have been anything to delete if your state doesn’t require them.

I don’t have a window sticker yet so I can’t be 100% sure but I’m confident it won’t be on it.

Illinois does so that’s why I told him to delete it.

Wrong thread? Not sure of the right one but just wanted to get the word out to others with similar status who may have still been wondering if even though all criteria were met to not get the front bracket, would we still end up with one too. Sounds like owners in states requiring front plates are getting a bracket whether it is deleted or not.

I hope that’s not the case. I figured since I had the dealer delete this from my order before my VIN was assigned that it would be deleted. I had him change the battery from std. to ext. and that happened without a problem.

I wouldn't hold out much hope for not getting the bracket. Email from my Dealer (in NJ):

"We can't do anything about the front plate brackets. If we delete it they put it right back on because we live in NJ."

So sorry Illinibird, I was just thinking that sometimes reading things on this forum causes undue concerns like my own above. I didn't mean to cause anyone else to have these same concerns. I am hoping yours will come without a bracket too! Hope it’s another perfect vehicle for you!

I don't think there's ever been a question that cars delivered in states that don't require a front plate won't get the bracket. Really, the only question left unanswered is if the front plate can be deleted from an order for a state that requires them that has not been scheduled for production yet. We don't have a concrete answer to that yet because those that have tried (like @Illinibird) haven't gotten their window stickers yet to verify.

I live in CA where we are required to have a front plate. Since 2002, I have ordered from the same Ford dealer, 3 trucks, 3 cars and one SUV. All of them came with the front plate bracket in a box and the dealer has a standing order from me to never install the bracket. I didn't request to have the bracket deleted because I figured it would just come in a box like the other 7 vehicles but my dealer has gotten in 3 Mach E's so far and all of them had the bracket already installed.

I am thinking there must be some new law or rule or something that if your state requires one they have to be installed from the factory? Or maybe this is just something Ford is doing at this plant? My 2020 GT500 was manufactured at the end of March last year and again came with the bracket in a box.

Where all those vehicles manufactured in the US? I am thinking this plant knows which states have them and do not have them and are building accordingly. I requested no front bracket, my dealer said they took it off but the window sticker has it on so I am expecting it to be there when it arrives.
