I understand your feelings, but have you ever heard of any car company giving ANYTHING away as an apology for a recall? At the very least you have to admit that is unusual. And yet, a significant portion of the posts in this thread are bashing Ford for it.

In the end, over 2 actions Ford is giving away $300 worth of goodies to roughly 100,000 customers and those customers are complaining that it wasn't enough. Sorry, but that just doesn't seem like an appropriate response.
I haven’t heard of any car companies giving away goodies as an apology, but then again I don’t track that. Maybe they have and I would never have heard about it. So, it could be usual, who knows. Also, I haven’t a car needing a recall for a mission critical part since, maybe, … never.

Seems like the majority of what you call bashing in this thread is more like ā€œHey, Ford, what an about me? My HVBJB actually failed and actually, really inconvenienced me.ā€œ Maybe Ford is planning on gifting them too, but it doesn’t specifically say that, so I understand. I’m with ā€˜em and I feel their pain.

Hi Mustang Mach-E Owners,

In our ongoing efforts to ensure you are well looked after, we are offering customers impacted by the 23S56 recall with a goodwill package following service completion as an appreciation for working with us and your dealer to make this right for you.

If you have had your Mustang Mach-E serviced for this recall the goodwill package will automatically be sent to you.

What is included in the goodwill package?
1. 30k FordPassĀ®Rewards – These points are automatically placed in the user’s account after all repair paperwork has been processed by the Dealer and Ford
2. A complimentary mobile phone charging mat with an updated design to be sent directly to the customer’s vehicle registration address after completion of service.
3. Included with the Charging Mat is a $50 reimbursement (either an Amazon Gift Card or a mail check -- customer’s choice)
-This reimbursement will be made available to the customer via a QR code included on a letter accompanying the charging mat.

If you have completed this recall already and are awaiting your goodwill package, we are beginning dispatch of the FordPass Rewards points and mobile phone charging mat this month and you should receive them soon.

What do I need to do to receive this package?
Customers eligible for FSA 23S56 should work with their local dealer to complete the repair. Customers will start seeing their FordPass Rewards points in their accounts approximately 3 weeks after the repair is completed. The charging mat and $50 reimbursement will also be sent approximately 3 weeks after the repair is completed. No additional action by the customer is necessary.

My dealer didn’t mention the goodwill program when I picked up my vehicle after repair. How do I know I’ll receive this package?
Regardless of whether the dealer communicated the details of the package, customers affected by FSA 23S56 will receive these complimentary gifts automatically.

It’s been well over 3 weeks since this forum post, my FSA has been completed, and I have not received any update on goodwill delivery. What should I do?
Please send us a DM here on the forum with your VIN, contact information, recall completion date and dealership. We will review your details and progress of your goodwill. Alternatively our Recall Concierge team will be happy to assist you. They can be reached at 1-833-807-3673 or ford.com/support. Representatives are available Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. ET.

I completed my FSA for this recall prior to this goodwill program going into effect. Do I still receive a gift?
Goodwill is specific to the FSA 23S56 recall program. Customers who have completed the FSA 23S56 recall will automatically receive their goodwill.
Hey Ford , all of our charging docks for the cell phone suck, just because you are picking and choosing the most expensive battery packs to replace, at least send us all a cell mat, so when our hvbjb fail we can call a wrecker!!!!?

I had my HVBJB replaced in my October '23. I got the SVS warning. I scheduled the service. Took my dealership two days to do the repair, including ordering the part. Other, rather weird, issues extended the process out to a week. Your mileage may very.

For, um, scientific reasons, I felt compelled to initiate several WOT events. You know, just to insure the work was done properly. At 100 WOT events, I'm about a fifth of the way through my testing. Car seems fine so far though it does seem to keep forcing the corners of my mouth to curl up ?
I love to see a scientific mind in action! Myself, knowing that I'll be getting the HVBJB replaced at some point, am doing "control tests" by performing as many WOT events as my current test equipment allows. I'll of course compare these results to testing that will be done after the recall repair.

In my before testing, my mouth also curls up at the edges a bit, but I suspect not quite as much as yours, since I don't have a GT.

I did a few WOT tests myself ? but of course mine failed driving slowly off my street on the way to an important meeting I didn’t want to be late for…

Depends on where you are. For me the quickest way to get to Canada is to go East. ?
Stupid trivia question (and answer) "What is the first country you come to if you travel due south from Detroit? Canada (look at a map).

BTW, Kudo's to FMC for doing right by customers in this case.

Canada, where’s Canada? I will be surprised if Ford responds to your question.
I went to my dealer. I have the recall letter. Dealer says that they can’t do it unless the check engine light is on. Not sure when we in Canada can get this done. Gift or not

Now to the important questions: ?

Is the new "Console Mat" (as they call it at Ford Parts) already installed in '23 models? If I don't have one, I want one, but do not want to buy what I already have.

Ellie is in the shop right now having this done and getting new front half shafts at the same time. I cannot thank @SnBGC enough for hooking me up with a great service department. No problems scheduling the service, free loaner - check, would you like a complimentary charge upon return - sure why not? We will perform all pending software updates - please don’t. Well worth going out of my way. I realize this is not everyone’s experience and Ford is acknowledging that, I believe. This recall is costing them a fortune and they are at least trying to do something for customers to acknowledge the challenges. Try getting that from a Japanese car manufacturer.

Well darn, my HBVJB failed on 12/29/23, before I could be scheduled for the recall. Had some delays due to no available parts also. Would be nice to be eligible for this but technically I didn't get it replaced via the program. Ah well.

Iā€˜m from Alberta and my local Ford dealership completed my recall late last year. Even gave me a Mach E GT with snow tires as a loaner. Your dealership obviously doesn’t know the definition of ā€œrecallā€. It’s to perform the job before an issue appears.

Plenty of anger in this post and for many it's valid. We got our HVBJB (23S56) replaced when our Front Drive unit failed during a holiday road trip. Lucky us we only had to wait a full month for repairs to be completed. Towed to dealership Dec 30, 2023 car ready Feb 1, 2024. Along with a bad EVSE that was replaced early in our ownership they also performed 22P31 brake harness connector, 23B50 charge cord stuck module, and plenty of OTA updates along the way it has been 2 years of steady little fixes. Ford's quality is a real sore spot for owners and Ford itself. Some goodwill with a free Tesla adapter and some phone charge pad replacements to correct the phone stove top pad do help but do not change opinions for many. We really do like our MachE and plan on keeping it for many years but we will not purchase another Ford any time soon. Fingers crossed @Ford Motor Company replies to my direct message and gives us the items they are promising.
