Received 30K yesterday some time.... no idea why.

Never had an issue with HVBJB with my current one but my two former Mach-Es were right around the time of the "new" part and had either a production delay (3 months) or stop sale before the software upgrade was available.

I will take it though... free service visit!

Except in my experience after having made an appointment where the dealer ordered the part and I am 30+ days out and no part in site.

Yeah similar experience… made appointment in Jan for a late Feb date to ensure parts on hand…for this and the CSP and front camera issue …. Car still sat at the dealer for 24 days waiting for parts and other Mach Es before me… finally got finished and picked up the car yesterday after 24 days ..for the front camera issue they just applied a 2023 TSB based on codes found so hope that sticks.

Thanks, but the referenced chart seems to allow some connected services but for some reason excludes BlueCruise. I'll call them on Monday and try to renew BC and pay for 1/2 of it with my points and report back. Otherwise, I’m not planning on paying for the subscription.

Does anyone know if the 8 year warranty on the JB is still from purchased or does it resets and is now when you got it replaced after 3 years of ownership? The later would be the only perk I would need.

Good question. If it resets, it’s typically in a bad way. Some parts changed under warranty are offered with 12 month coverage.

15 years ago, my sisters brand new vehicle got hit by lightening. The strike fried many electrical systems. All of what changed was covered for 12 months, despite the car being 3 months old.

That’s normal, if a component fail within the warranty period, then the remaining original warranty would remain. If the replacement is due to an accident or in this case lightning, then it is the replacement part warranty, typically 1 year that applies.

I had the recall done (no failure just the recall) the 1st week of January 2024. 30 thousand FP points showed up on 15 March in my FordPass with no prompting action on my part.

That makes sense so what is it for a recall that the manufacturer pushes off for 3 years? Is it 5 years remaining or does it start at 8 again? If the 5 runs it would make sense for manufactures to push it as far as possible to limit the number of owners they have to fix. That is what was going on until the NHTSA directed it to stop.

What if 23S56 was cleared shortly after its release due to the HVBJB being replaced previously? A lot of us had it showing up initially before it disappeared about a week later.

Well it appears the answer to the above is NO. People that had the recall show up initially and disappear two weeks later have not reported getting the 30,000 points. So if you were lucky enough to have your HVBJB not fail until the recall, you will be rewarded by Ford for "making it". But those that had it fail and repaired before Oct 2023 are SOL. ?‍

That move was to be predicted based on pass track record to date. Not too concerned about a charging pad or some Ford points. Do you know if we have 8 years warranty on the new HVBJB's or are we currently down to 5 with 2 replacements?
