UPDATE (I think my last for a while–this feels like chasing one's tail): got 14% charge at my dealer, came home and plugged in my HomeFlex- and it worked! Just added another 45% (stopping at 91%). I don't know if it's random time-of-day conditions of the grid in this NW suburban Chicago area or what. (Could it be spending 90 minutes at the dealer, then coming home, the battery was "conditioned" in some way that made the home charge work?) Who knows. Going to have to deal with it & miss until Ford publishes a fix.I’ll try that when I get home. Right now, I’m charging at my dealer.
im also going to keep trying at different times of day as other posters suggested. I’ve experimented with as late as 9:30p and as early as 5:30p, but I’m also guessing there are too many variables for a lucky event to occur at the same time every day (?)
