I kinda got hosed on my trade in, all the dealer did was pay off the loan, turn around and sell it in less than 24 hours for 7 grand more, but I got a decent price on a 2021 GTPE with 2800 miles at 62k. My 21 Select AWD basically functioned as a lease for around 600 a month with no down payment for a year and a half, if I consider the incentives I had. I racked up 24k miles on that thing.
I also have the pano roof, Active Park assist, and the foot activated lift gate, so I’m overall happy.

I hope park assist comes back for 24 and later.
I either
1. Can’t get it to start
2. Get a line of cars behind me so when I want to back into a spot they’re already on my ass because it’s slow and like 5 odd steps.
I can’t say I’d miss it. It was a selling point, till I tried to use it.

You sure you have it and not the prep kit.

-Press P
-Choose park assist signal right or left
-Drive forward and pass the empty space you want to park
-Stop (you should get a prompt about space found) or let the computer prompt you that it found a space.

"back into a spot"? Parallel park assist space found is activated driving forward passing up the spot you want.

Yeah I have it. It’s yet to get me in a spot under a minute where as I can pull up, toss in rev and do what I’ve done for decades in under 15 seconds.

Dang you can manually parallel park in under 15 seconds?

Depending on how tight the spot, 15 sec is quick.

My lifestyle Im glad for BC and PA. ? I think I will be a BC subscriber.

I guess that's why I do need PA. lol.

Also I love it, automatically getting out of tight spots when other cars will come in and sandwich you.

My lifestyle glad it's there.

I need this to happen to the Mavericks too, or the Lightnings, but guessing that's another year+ out.

I think it's partly an influx from the tax credit confusion. Many probably rethought things and walked away with that in limbo and loan rates so high.

Putnam Ford in San Mateo, CA called me today to see if I was still in the market for a MachE.

They have 22 new ones in stock at MSRP.

Luckily I received mine last December 22.
Anyone that paid above MSRP for their MME is going to have heartburn for the next couple of years. And if they took a loan for said car, I would suggest that they bury their head in the sand and never look at used car prices going forward.

The MME along with many of the other EV's will depreciate the same as most electronics. As new ones with longer ranges come out, the "older" ones will go down in price exponentially.

Just my two cents.................

In other news my Tags were $695. I expected around $200 or less. Now I got to figure out what that's about. Our laws recently changed and because this was a Cali-> AZ car I probably got hosed because the dealer didn't swap title to AZ first.
The alternative fuel vehicle property tax discount was in full effect for registrations from 2021 and earlier. 2022 was the phase out year, where the discount wasn't as much. 2023 and later registrations are charged the same as non-AFVs.

What matters is the date that the current registration began. So it's based on when your current registration started not when the seller's registration(s) began.

Make sure it’s on in the settings. My PaaK and it’s Bluetooth was unreliable. I always carry the keyfob. If you kick under the license plate it should work.
Thank you. I'm pretty sure it's on in settings. I never COULD get PAAK to work. So I just use the fob.

I kick like I mean it. Might want to practice and if you can’t get it to work at least 50% the sensor might have come loose.

Registration was Jan this year. So that’s a bummer. I thought 23 was the phaseout.

I have a 21 with the foot activated tailgate, but I can never get it to work. Any advice?
I literally kick the bottom of the car (lightly) right under the license plate and bumper. There is a plastic piece you can feel when you kick it. It works for me 99% of the time.

I have it. I've used it once in 8.5 months and that was just to try it out. It works but is fussy and slow as hell. Sheeba is more anal than I am about parking straight ?. Didn't think that was possible. I pull out the measuring tape to make sure I'm centered in the space. Letting Sheeba park, I started hunting for the "good enough" button.

Oh and as for inventory, Prime at 7.75% isn't going to help sell pricey cars anytime soon.

The fob must be within 3’ of the tailgate. If using PAAK, and the phone doesn’t connect right away, it won’t work.
Kick straight in in the center until your toe touches the car.
Works for me 99.99% of the time. The very few times it doesn’t work on the first try, it’s when I’m in a rush and come in at an angle or off center.

As sad as I am for the drop of resale value for my car, seeing car dealerships who had no qualms about tacking on ADM take it in the nuts helps me feel better.
My local dealer is still tacking on ADM - photo taken 2 weeks ago with lots of MME on the lot.
