The Ford EVSE takes some time before it overheats. So you would need to charge your friend's Tesla for more than a few minutes to see it slow down. I think every time you see the yellow LED, the charger is overheating and it is slowing the charge rate.Hi! I thought a solid amber light on the EVSE meant that the car wasn't accepting all available / the car is limiting itself. And a blinking yellow light meant there was something wrong with the EVSE?
My friends Tesla charged and pulled ~7kWh just fine. (40 Amp Switch)
