The MME ordering site has said 24+ weeks for Premiums for some time now. Thats like 5.5 months. I think to expect it any sooner would be setting yourself up for disappointment. A large Ford dealership in the Washington DC metro area told me it could be anywhere between 24 weeks and a year. I don't actually believe it would be a year. I too am waiting on a Premium light grey interior DMG MME.

Now feeling - better isn't the right word - but less angsty about my DMG Prem ER AWD being ordered 4/30 and hearing not a word. I'm just not planning on it to arrive in 2021 at this stage.
Back in June I got a production date of the week of July 5th. July 5th came and went of course, then last week I got the email that anything after July 3rd (or something similar) was going to be delayed a considerable amount. So.....

Back in March after watching this forum for a month or two I decided that the delivery estimate my dealer provided (summer 2021) was unlikely to actually happen. So I started calling around to dealers in the Pacific Northwest (I'm in Eugene) asking if they had any on the lot (ha!) or had any coming in that were not allocated. None of them had anything, but I did ask each of them to put me on a call list if something opened up. In mid-May I got a call from one of them saying they had 6 of them coming in, and did I want one? One was the Premium AWD ER I wanted - just in a different, but still acceptable color. Jumped on it and was driving it June 7th.

I am having a number of issues with the technology on this car, although the actual driving, performance etc is a pleasure. I probably have 15 outstanding problems, none of them serious, but it's clear they don't know how to do software very well.

Try calling 18003344375 if you haven't already. That's where I learned I even had a VIN. The only Ford emails I've received are "Thrills Ahead" and "6-week delay" (HA!)
.so I called Ford at the number posted ... they said I needed the order Code which would be a 4 digit code and the sales code that begins with an F. No such info on the order info sheet from the dealer... they were not at all helpful... guess it,s back to the dealer.. ordered 6/5/21 prem..er...and

If it's this bad with one of their models on this forum, just imagine how many cases of Tums are being delivered to Ford HQ.

Which dealer? I ordered Premium Dark Matter Gray with light interior, extended range AWD from Phil Long in the Springs on Jul 01 which was logged into Ford on Jul 02. Production is scheduled for Sep 27.
Sil-Terhar in Broomfield. You ordered the same spec as me, including interior color. They get their order info on Thursdays, so I'll check on my order tomorrow and if it didn't get assigned a production date, I'll take the Red one they've offered.

I received a very interesting email from my dealer today, and I have not seen this posted anywhere else, so maybe this is news to everyone. Apparently Ford is allocating 50% of MME production to ZEV states, and the remaining 50% to all the other states. (USA production, obviously.) My state, Virginia, is not a ZEV state, so that is one reason my order is going to take longer to fill.

What is a ZEV state, you ask? States that are mandating that a percentage of vehicle sales must be zero emission vehicles. Here is the list:

California, 1990.
Connecticut, 2008.
Maine, 2001.
Maryland, 2011.
Massachusetts, 1995.
New Jersey, 2009.
New York, 1993.
Oregon, 2009.
Rhode Island, 2008.
Vermont, 2000.

This really raises my pissed-off-ness to a new level. I get why Ford is doing this, but it pisses me off anyway.
That actually lines up with all the orders I have seen on the submitted orders post that are being given production dates despite being WELL after my order date of 5/21 in Nevada.

For those pissed off that your state is not a ZEV state, I strongly encourage you to contact your state legislators and change that! Electric cars are coming whether politicians like it or not, and it is us, the early adopters, who can drive this train forward.

Yet this doesn't explain why a Mach e ordered 5 weeks after mine through the same dealership is built and scheduled for shipping while Ive not heard a word

My order (May 14) never got scheduled. Dealer had another order (March 19) that customer bailed on so they offered me that one. Its been In Production since 8/20, and on Monday flipped to Built and yesterday flipped to Shippped. Now expecting it to arrive at Dealer between 10/28 and 11/3. I'm in CO, FWIW.

Thanks for the info. This update makes me think maybe they got a shipment of the missing chips and are cranking out the mostly built cars. The GT I found and grabbed went into production 8/25 but is still in production. I bet I get a similar update soon. If I do, I will let everyone know. Maybe one log jam has been cleared and a bunch of us will get our cars?

I am pissed off that the state governments are mandating products that people may or may not want to buy. It is distorting the free market. Convincing my state politicians to do the same thing will just make the problem worse, not better. No thanks.

Exact same configuration? If so, frustration is very understandable.
