Hm...I wasn't
Put in my pre-order for the RS trim this morning.
We're you Abe to choose your model when reserving? I didn't get to choose....It just said that those details would be finalized with the dealer when actually ordering. I'm wondering if I missed a box somewhere :)

I reserved an RS. I think the standard 21-inch wheels will be the best compromise between range and comfort.

Were you able to actually select your trim on your reservation? Mine only allowed just the reservation without selecting the trim at this time. It said I would do that with the dealer once available. Just making sure I didn't randomly select a trim haha

Nope I wasn't able to either, got the same thing you did. Said I'll be selecting later. I actually just asked your question to someone else haha

I too am confused by the Ultium platform. I thought it was an 800v architecture? With all these releases being 400V, Kia/Hyundai look even further ahead of the times than they did earlier on in the game.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but from the Blazer FAQ:

GM has surpassed the current threshold for sales volumes on EVs to qualify for any Federal tax incentives. Final vehicle price is set by dealers and state and local incentives vary and are not included in our pricing estimates.

@Kamuelaflyer I see you agree, truth, right? ?
Ha!

Cars are funny things. The only EV I've liked the looks of is the mach-e. As for the Blazer, I still just can't get past the fact that it's a car now. And a butt ugly one too. #notablazer.

This is also why they make more than one type of car, everyone has a different perspective. :)

Yeah! I was able to specifically select an RS. It also specifies an RS on the confirmation email.

Last night you were able to choose trims and my reservation PDFs shows the exact trim chosen. I just checked the site now and noticed you can't select any trim.

Maybe interest was too popular and GM "sold out" of allotments?

Didn’t think we would be a Ford vs Chevy household, but tempted to pull the trigger on a RS.

Factory roof rails and probably a factory tow hitch!
Ventilated seats and up to 190kW fast charging!
FWD kinda lame though.
And seems like the price could creep up with desirable options.
Yeah, why FWD in a car without a big heavy motor up front over the front wheels? Is there some other advantage to FWD besides traction?

And I have to say, I was a never a big Chevy Blazer fan. I think I’m still not.

Maybe we have enough EV’s on the road we are getting close to not having to put them all in one category any more. The Blazer would be competition for the Explorer would it not? Well, if Ford had an E-Explorer. This is just not the same class as MME. I had an Explorer before my MME and settled for the size difference because I wanted an EV.

This should be a “Hey Ford, when you bringing out the E-Explorer?” thread.
No way Blazer is going to be a competition to Explorer. Chevy is just a small CUV, just like many other currently available cars. Explorer is in a different category, it's supposed to be a full size SUV, sharing a lot with Lightning. I'm waiting for Explorer as I want a full size SUV.

I reserved one. I love my Mach E GT so much but the Blazer is way better value for the price. Cooled seats, HUD, opening sunroof, heated rear seats, stunning interior. I love it. Hopefully by the time I can get it the refreshed Mach E will have more of these features!

This looks like most other EV's like the EV6, ID4, Bolt, etc. They try to make them futuristic looking and just come out looking a little weird.
As opposed to the Ioniq 5 which is retro-futuristic looking and comes out looking a little weird?

... But if we end up swapping to one I want it in black so I can put a great '80s pac-man wrap/magnets or similar on it.
