wow where do you find service advisors like that? All I’ve ever got was blank stares.
That dealership is really great. The folks there listen to their customers and they are all car guys and gals. They love what they do.

The dealership model can be quite a value added feature sometimes. The polar opposite of having a car dumped in your driveway by a tow truck and the keys tossed at you while they drive away.

How'd you find them? Yelp? Friend recommendation? Luck?
In early 2019, I bought a used Ford Focus Electric compliance car that just arrived from San Diego with less than 1000 miles on it. About 6 months later I had a problem with the A/C chiller valve and the turtle (reduced power) message displayed and my HVAC was disabled (or no cold air to be exact)

It was a Saturday afternoon and 115F at the time. I called my uncle since he had recently retired as a BEV certified tech for Rich Ford in Albuquerque which is the same ownership as San Tan Ford. At the time, San Tan had 3 BEV certified techs so I took it there and they fixed the problem. For the next 50k miles that car was 100% trouble free. I sold it when the Mach arrived. Still miss that car sometimes.....

So far I have 34k miles on the Mach-E. Only issue has been OTA related and it resolved itself after a 10 minute park. Now San Tan is having a hard time installing 21G01. I wanted to pick it up today and just give up on BlueCruise but they asked for one more day because they really want to figure out. They aren't quitters....I will give them that much. Another dealership would have just handed my car back to me with "Oh well, we tried. Sorry."

Let's hope they have better luck tomorrow.

So I just brought my March '21 build MME in for the windshield recall. While its in the shop, I supposedly got the 21P22 and 21G01 updates as well. Dealer thinks that I should have Blue Cruise now. I tried it and don't think I have it yet (it is also NOT listed in my Connected Services under my Ford account). Maybe I still need the further OTA updates that fully enable Blue Cruise as the bulletin suggested.

Does anyone know what Power-Up software version 21P22/21G01 brings my MME to? My guess is that it is probably not 2.5.2 yet. Under the software update menu in the car, it does NOT show the version number. It used to show the version before the dealership updates. My apologies if someone asked this question already. I tried to read through this thread, but didn't get to all 43 pages yet.

It's been asked a bunch of times... At the moment, "Power-Up" only applies to wireless updates delivered via mobile or WiFi.

When a dealer installs updates via onboard, wired connections, they are updating modules directly and this isn't displayed to you as a Power-Up.

21G01 should bring you to equivalent status with the Power-Up 2.5.3 release.

They're not supposed to THINK. They're supposed to follow the directions. Last step tells them to take the car on a BlueCruise highway, and verify that hands-free works. Says "hands free" 3 times.

Along with the email that went out to stuck 1.7.1 users to tell them the dealer can install the BC updates, 21G01 has dropped to detail the requirements and process for this update.

REASON FOR THIS COMMUNICATION To inform you that Ford Motor Company is notifying vehicle owners of an optional product improvement program on the affected vehicles. This communication will help you answer customer questions. Customers of early-launch 2021 F-150 or 2021 Mustang Mach-E with Ford Co-Pilot360™ Active 2.0 Prep Package (includes BlueCruise Prep Kit 43C/50G) will receive: • Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) that include the BlueCruise hands-free driver assist feature, began deployment to customer vehicles in the first quarter of 2022. Software updates delivered OTA could take several weeks before all software is delivered, and the feature is fully functional. The updates also will include some new features while accelerating the pace of future features and enhancements. • Or, the option of complimentary dealer installation of the BlueCruise hands-free driver assist feature software (Dealer software installation takes 2 to 8 hours). • One (1) year of complimentary BlueCruise service once the hands-free driver assist feature is activated and functioning
Dumb question:

Was I supposed to do this before dropping the car off at the dealership?
I looked at my FordPass application on my mobile phone and don't see Connected Services.

If you are using Fordpass, that means you've activated it. This is just the initial FP setup they are wanting to make sure you have done. If you haven't, BlueCruise can't fully activate.
