A new FDRS version is available as of this morning. If anyone is having issues, might ask the dealer to make sure they have installed the newest version as it may help with some of these issues.

This updated FDRS is needed to address the stalled update process where you can't get to the correct sync level

So I would have them re-read the instructions for 21G01 with particular attention paid to step 19. and then have them re-read page 5 of the attached 21P22 customer satisfaction program (even if they said they'd previously completed it.) and then hopefully things will start to happen for you.

And if they don't see the light then I'd find another dealer and make sure you fill out your post-service online survey in excruciating detail with maybe only one star as a recommendation. @Ford does pay attention to those surveys.

Mike
It's nice to see that my observation that step #19 was wrong in version 1 got noticed (No said go back to step 15).

Is the general thought that if we bring our cars home from the dealership without BlueCruise, say we're on 358 like many have reported, that at some point we'll get the rest of the update via OTA and it will eventually lead to BlueCruise?
I think that is the general belief held by many.
I am not holding my breath though.
If an actual tech with a laptop and cable can't install the software successfully then it doesn't seem reasonable to expect it to install automatically over the airwaves. Sounds like a big ask to me.
I wouldn't get your hopes up.

That is a great idea and I hope it works. There is at least one member here who has messaged me to say that he brought his home with Sync 364 showing and no BC showing as enabled. So YMMV as they say.

Mike
I am the member Mike refers to who has Sync 364 showing and still no BC showing as enabled. I give Mike a huge shout-out because he's been so helpful in running my VIN # and providing information that I have shared with the technician trying to get the Blue Cruise mess straightened out. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I may have the solution to my issue. More on that in a second.

I called Ford customer support yesterday, and they transferred me 5 times before speaking with someone who at least tried to get me some answers. I was hoping that BC wasn't working because the subscription was not added to my Connected Services account. It is amazing and embarrassing how clueless their representatives were to this Blue Cruise process on Mach E Job 1 vehicles. They have probably not been updated on what Ford has communicated to its customers in their defense. The fifth Ford representative tried to convince me that I must wait for the final OTA update to complete this process. Somehow we got disconnected, but to her credit, she called me back and acknowledged I was correct and had already reached out to my dealer to let them know they were missing an update to get my BC fully functional. She explained that is why my Connected Services had not been updated. The technician has been waiting on Ford support to assist him with figuring out the issue since I am on Sync 364.

That is where chatting with @Mike G has paid off. I used the list of modules Mike shared from his Mach E. He has successfully installed BC using FDRS. Mike has a newer version of APIM (Sync) than I do, even though I have Ver 364. I have shared this information with my technician and the fact that a newer version of FDRS is available.

LouieBluey had good news from the Ford servers this morning! The GWM update showed up in FDRS (I reinstalled FDRS to update it first to Ver. 31.6.7). (No PMIs were involved in this process).

Thank you Ford and especially the Ford Software and FDRS team. You are the best! Happy Easter and Passover!

Confirmed, dealers need to update their FDRS software today so the final updates show up.

If your dealer was not able to install BlueCurise after applying all updates, tell them to update their software and try again. New version came out today with a fix.

Thanks Ben!

Mine made it to Sync 364 but no Blue Cruise invitation from Ford Pass. Will the new FDRS fix that issue, too?

It's possible but you then need to do a double sync reset via FDRS for it to register on the server side

I think we are both stuck at the same spot in the process. I figured out last night that even though I have Sync 364, there is a newer update than may be what we need to activate Blue Cruise. I am pushing my dealer right now to get my car back in tomorrow to try this fix.

He said he signed up for it though? If you've signed up for it before that might be enough even if you weren't let in? It wouldn't surprise me if the VIN lists that got sent to the server also included waitlisted cars due to an oversight. I think we should be asking if people are on EA waitlist, admitted, or never signed up.
I am waitlisted in EA. My car is in for TSB22-2117 and 21G01 to get Bluecruise I should have car back tomorrow will let you know if it worked.

I see they added this to the notice when a dealer goes to look at the documentation for 21G01.
I guess its something, but feel like the actual step by step guide should have been updated with this as well.

Hopefully they will do 21P22 in the process since BC won't work without it.

Give the dealership a call now to confirm.

Thanks for posting these. If I read it right, Step 19 is "Does FSA 21P22 need to be performed? If Yes, then perform before step 20"

Before 22-2117 or 21G01, my dealer performed a partial 21P22, told me it was complete, and closed out that FSA. I only found out later that not all the 21P22 updates were done when some of the great folks here in the forum checked my VIN and saw many modules still available, including ones that were part of 21P22.

Question: if/when I take the car in for 21G01 should the tech still run 21P22 at step 19? Will that CSP/those modules even show up if the FSA has been closed, or should they just update everything?

Just trying to figure out the best approach here.
Well the tech should go back in and look at page 5 of 21P22 and update every module he see's on that page that's in your SW-Updates list in FDRS.

That's what the document says. It doesn't say to do just the ones you like, or that you feel might be relevant, or the ones that take only about a minute. It says to do all the modules on that list.

If I had to guess at which ones on that list might be the ones keeping the BC updates from progressing I'd have to go with the powertrain module(s).

Nevertheless, they need to do all of those on the 21P22 list before going on with step 20. in the 21G01 process.

...using a powersupply, with a good internet connection, and a 32Gb USB 3.0 thumb drive, two cups of coffee, and a comfortable chair. Oh, and with FDRS updated to the latest version (currently 31.6.7).
