You must be one of those newfangled people that got two fobs with your car. Most of us got only the one, so we cannot program it ourselves. Ford could do the right thing and retroactively apply the second fob to the rest of us, but that would cost them too much money (because a dealer would have to program it) so they're not interested so far.Guys, read the forums or even the previous responses. You should not need to pay much for your FOBs and they will program without issues. I would avoid trying to get anything free from a dealership because, well, they're dealerships and operate by making money. There are links and comments of people confirming what works as well as the posted instructions to program a third.
I recommend buying a third FOB, cheap version, and just having it to keep the ability to program a new one yourself if you lose/break one of the two main ones. $30 FOB saves you a dealership or locksmith visit.
