Pro Tip:
You can also make the side mirrors point down in that profile if you want, for help parking if you’re one of the people (das me) that don’t fully trust the 360° camera view while parking.
I didn't know our cars had that feature. Thought it was a Lincoln only thing. Good info. How do we enable that setting?

It's not a setting. @JoeDimwit is suggesting setting the mirrors in the down position in the "parking" profile.

Oh okay. That makes sense.
I think it is possible to reflash the module so it happens automatically in reverse. Would need the module code to do that.....I bet someone has tried it already.

I keep my vehicle in one pedal drive mode all the time. Even when moving the car in or out of my tight garage. It's great.

One pedal drive on or off is an independent selection from drive modes (Whisper, Engage, Unbridled).
Would be nice if one pedal had a toggle on/off on the main screen. I find it hard to ‘roll’ going in and out of the garage in one peddle.

It's on the main vehicle screen/pane, which stays open until you switch to a different pane, into reverse gear, or if the camera activates due to vertical obstacle proximity detection.

Given all those scenarios that take away that button, I could see why this would be frustrating!

Don't forget that even in 1PD, you can use the brake pedal when needed to decelerate even faster. I think with some more practice you may get the hang of it? I am more comfortable with 1PD than "2PD" at this point.

I rented a 2021 Mustang GT Premium convertible last week while on a work trip. The 5.0 liter "noise" was a nice treat, and of course the top down when it wasn't raining. The road handling and brake response felt better than my Mustang Mach-E. But I really missed the smooth, fast acceleration and one pedal driving experiences. And the 360 camera view so I can see over the front of that enormous hood. :)

Not related to break coach, but I want to ask anyway: if I use Wisper 2PD, then switch to Unbridled and select 1PD, what happens if I select Wisper again? 1PD or 2PD?

I want to use W2PD when getting in and out of garage, and maybe on residential road, but U1PD everywhere else, so do I need to make two changes every time or only one? Or the whole concept is stupid and after getting 1PD habits no-one has needs or desires to go back to 2PD?
I don't have break coach? What is this feature?

I think you can use the 3rd memory button to see just mirrors, and that's quicker to hit.

For break coach, this is the coffee cup or "you should take a break now" messaging that some cars display when they detect symptoms of a tired driver, or after a number of hours of continuous driving.

For brake coach, see the first post in this thread.

Good try, but it is a break warning, not a coach...

How many drivers do you have? Because, you could set a secondary profile to use whisper and 2 pedal. I believe both of those are per profile settings.
I like this idea, definitely will try it when I finally get the car.

Correct. Only displays in Engage mode. 1PD on or off doesn't matter. Will also appear even when using ACC and the vehicle comes to a complete stop.
Thanks to all of you for making a bland feature question, so interesting! :) I tried Engage mode with Brake Coach on, and the experience was so "meh". It showed something the first couple of times in lower speeds but once I crossed 25 mph nothing popped up either during one-pedal or during proper braking. Very disappointing that Ford is not giving thought to its UI as Tesla did.

Also, I have still not found out what version of OTA is installed using the UI. I only see the SYNC 4A version saying 263 or something like that.

The calculation is based on a complete stop so only a single braking event is displayed and that needs to go all the way down to the limits of negative torque from the motors and the friction brakes blend in. I agree that is is a bit lacking though. Great back in 2015 with the early Ford EVs but it sure hasn't matured much it seems. ?

Some other EVs have a real time efficiency gauge which is pretty cool. In the Wrangler, there is a green arc that bobs up or down (acceleration or deceleration) and the leading edges change color from green to yellow to orange to red as efficiency declines. It is a useful coach so maybe we'll get something similar someday.

As long as it can be turned off independent of mode/display etc. I don't want a meter in the cluster making me feel bad when I put my foot in it. I like putting my foot in it. It's one of the best things about driving a BEV. ?

Hi Experts,

I have turned on the option to show the Brake Coach and also use One-Pedal. As per the "help text" some info should pop up on the instrument display that shows braking efficiency. I am maybe misunderstanding this statement, but I have not seen any "coaching" in the last 3 weeks that I have been driving my Mach E Select AWD.

Also, I am not able to find any version of which OTA updates are applied to my car. Mine is a Feb 2021 build. Thanks for the tips in advance!
Brake coach only shows up in Engaged mode. If you are using Unbridled or Whisper mode it will not show up.
