Update #1: They are going to replace the 12v battery. Despite me telling them twice yesterday, they forgot that I'd just bought it from them and wanted to charge me full price, so now that should be covered under the battery warranty at least. Basically, the battery warranty is BS, because they only honor it if I pay more than the battery's cost in installation charges. It's a 15 minute job, but hey.

After installation, they want to run a diagnostic to make sure nothing else is causing issues.

The battery is warrantied for replacement - which INCLUDES installation. When you bought it, did they install it?

Update #2: they just swapped out the 12v but they’re getting a charging fault and need another day to investigate it
Are you sure you're not on Hawaii Island and dealing with the dealers here? :rolleyes:

It will be interesting to see what your Bill will be.
Update #3: they did a “hard reset” and everything checked out. They replaced the battery under warranty but since I installed it myself the first time, they charged me installation ($72). My Ford Pass points knocked it down to $11.

Very reasonable battery installation charge.
Yeah, it really wasn’t bad, the big cost was my time.

My complaint with the shop was the bs I got from the service writer (can’t park the car for a week, the 12v only runs the lights and doesn’t start the car, etc) and that they’re understaffed with EV techs (like basically every ford dealership)

Sorry you've had to go through all of this. One thing you said about not having issues parking at work, but having them when parked at home made me wonder how close to your house you park the car... I wonder if the proximity of one or more of your fobs is causing it to consume more 12v accessory juice at home. That doesn't explain why it doesn't get recharged, etc, but maybe start dropping your key fobs in a cookie tin at home?

Ok, so it sounds like it’s not the easy stuff.

Have you looked under the cover to see if there are any chewed wires? Sounds like it could be a rodent problem.

Mine sits for 2 weeks all the time plugged to L2 in the winter, not plugged all summer and agree the EV tech is blowing smoke telling you it can not sit for a week. If so what use is it and yours appears to not be able to sit over night? Reading your first post sure did sound like a high phantom drain started to happen not a 12V battery. Draining the 12V battery sounded like a symptom not the cause. Mine sleeps pretty sound now a days no battery drain messages to date and sits a whole lot longer than overnight.
