Same!! 2nd Dec build - maybe they're just doing them all!ouch. Just received this via email. There was me hoping that I wouldn't be affected as I was an early (9/12) build.
I got it as well - maybe they just did a splatter gun approach with the email and sent to everyone. Must admit I was surprised to get it.Same!! 2nd Dec build - maybe they're just doing them all!
Anything with windscreen bonding normally needs a few hours to cure and harden properly before it’s driven again. Probably at least a ½ day repair. Guess we’ll know more in due course when the dealers get in touch. Is the repair something you can wait for or do we have to get a courtesy car?
Have you still not got your centre screen fixed. If they are taking that long to get the parts for that then don't hold your breath in getting the windscreen fixed any time soon. They will have to negotiate a national contract for the work as I can't see dealers taking the responsibility of removing/refitting the screen. It is a specialist job as all the cameras and sensors will need to be recalibrated. Also they will have to make sure that there are plenty of replacements in the system because there are bound to be a few that get broken on removal.I got it as well - maybe they just did a splatter gun approach with the email and sent to everyone. They’re gonna need my car for ages at this rate as I have 3 TSB’s (Tech Service Bulletins) that need doing, now potentially the windscreen recall, and we’re still waiting for parts for my new centre display screen replacement which was first reported in May.
Could be for the windscreen, doubtful for the pano roof ?Not had the email yet. Is the SR not in the recall (fingers crossed)?
Thanks.I have the SR and I have the recall for the windscreen
