What does it mean when it says it can't retrieve the VIN? I was able to do it before, but the main difference now is that my MME is actually at the dealer.

Tracker is broken, Ford now wants an order # which its not built into the tracker. Why do you want to track a MME that was delivered anyway? You can still see it delivered via (with your order # and VIN)

I'm looking to retrieve the window sticker without going to the dealer, and this tool was the easiest way I knew how to do that.

It's called poor web sight design.
JSON is not working for me at the moment, but all of the trackers are. Yesterday was a different story and tomorrow will be different yet again. Most of the time I have to jump through hoops to get the Ford web page to open. No rhyme or reason just consistently unreliable.
Patience is not only a virtue, but a necessity in this adventure.
Smoke your cigar and then return. It will probably work after a spell.

You will sometimes be required to enter your order #, found on window sticker(lower left "ITEM #" the four numbers after the hyphen) or from dealer

Yeah, they seem to be experimenting with it. If you look at the request return data, all of the JSON is still there, such as ETA end date, build date, dealership, name etc. (at shop.ford.com)

ok ok all this search talk is fun and all but did you know that one of the unofficial trackers sometimes doesn't work? and that on one of them you need your order number?

I coded this tracker which pulls up build specs, photos, production status, ship/transit info, window sticker, etc. on your Mach-E :

If you have your VIN, it will give you your options and more informations like status and dates.

Hi CobraJet! I saw that you added the order number field on the tracker, which is great ! But it's only accepting numbers right now
In my case, there's letters in the order number.

Also, using that tracker (or at least, the text on it), it would seem the order number might even reach 5 characters. https://seg.fyi/mache-vin/#/details
