These little tweaks can make the car so much more enjoyable. The only changes I've made so far are disabling the double honk, killing auto-lock, and now the temp in the IPC. I'm looking forward to more!
I wonder if there is a way to disable the motion sensors? For people that regularly "lock their dog in the car" that might be useful!

There's several settings that point to that in the IPC and the APIM. I need to figure out if it can be disabled from just one module and test. Wife has the car today though. :(

I would be ecstatic if you figured out the power meter. I’ll be first in line to try it on my Premium.
The bit in the IPC to enable the power meter:
720-11-02 x2xx xxxx

You should have a 0 on a non-GT.

Expectation Management: It may not work.

My expectations were managed, but I was still really hoping it would work. Unfortunately, it didn't.
I was hoping that driving around for a while after making the change could magically make the car decide to start showing the power meter (even though I knew it wouldn’t). But alas, it wasn’t meant to be. I guess I’ll change it back. :(

bummer, I've heard that is is possible to get to the actual kW in/out via the ODB2 and display on CarScanner app to phone. What is the next step to 'cast' the CarScapper display to the center console ? Or, would it be more practical just to dash-mount the phone as a custom instrument display?

Yeah, you can get lots of info that way, as @Mopey demonstrates. But I don’t need that for every day driving. I just want a simple power meter built in to the IPC like the GTs have.

yeah a simple dial or bar showing actual kW (+for charge/regen and -for output) would be super nice to see on the stock display somehow..... but if that's not possible soon, I'll probably explore the dash-mount phone display of ODB->CarScanner app

I think the MME is the only EV or PHEV in existence that doesn’t have any kind of meter that shows when you’re using power and when you’re regenerating.

is there a way to add currently playing media info to the IPC?

No. I'd love to have this too since when using Android Auto, unless you have the audio player open, it doesn't show you anywhere what you're listening to.

The temperature gauge on the Mach E is terribly inaccurate. Yesterday I was driving in my car when the gauge said it was 89. On the same screen, in Android Auto, my phone reported 81. I have a very accurate thermometer at home and it also reported 81. I know what 89 feels like and it was no where near that hot. I'm believing my phone and my very accurate thermometer.

I don't trust the Mach E's thermometer.
