Anyone with FDRS know what modules this updates? I assume it’s the same as the dealer install.

Nice to see this is starting to roll out. For people who have gotten the update already, where are you located and what model car do you have? I see OP has a FE and is in CO. I know @Mach-E VLOG also has a FE and is in CO.

Curious if there's any connection there. Surprised GTs haven't gotten priority.

So about a week ago Mike G was kind enough to run my VIN in FDRS to see how many updates had piled up since my last 2 day license [which seemed to have included the 22S41 recall bandaid.]

Ford Mustang Mach-E 22S41 & 22S29 Recall OTA Software Are Out 1657303100173

Got set up with FDRS earlier today to run through the list only to find that PCM, SOBDMC, BECM, ABS, SOBDM, SOBDMB updates were not showing as available any longer. Ran the BCM, DSM, WACM & OBCC fine.

FDRS says everything is up to date. Restarted FDRS a few times along the way. Everything looks happy.

Not showing any sign of OTA update in the car, on Ford Pass, or in the Widget so I am guessing those modules have been pulled back for re-examination?

This is great. I am a bit confused. I have a GT. I didn't drive it yesterday except to put it in reverse to move it away from the gas grill we were going to ignite for dinner. I got that message about reverse braking but didn't think anything of it until now. So the car was connected to WIFI all day and I have the automatic update button always on. I just looked at my Ford App and it doesn't say anything about an update occurring. How do I know if this is what indeed caused the reverse braking warning?
If you got the update, you should be able to check in Sync on the Updates screen and it will tell you if you got it or not. If it is blank, I would assume something else is going on.

I just checked and all it says is your car is up to date. That brake message did come off last night when I backed up. There should be some way a consumer can see what updates have been received in the car. I have a MME GT so I would think GT's would have priority but I have received no notices on the app.

Mike was nice enough to check my car now that I have it back from the new HVBJB install. I guess they didn't bother to check it after doing the work. Assuming the reason I don't have working Lane Centering or BC is the TCU module update that failed when they had it in the time before last.

Same boat, GT with no OTA yet. I have an appointment with the dealer on the 20th, we will see if I get it before then.

Well unless you're still rockin' an older Sync version that doesn't allow that.

There are some cars still out there....never been updated.....

Mike

I have a late 2021 Premium RWD build and I haven’t gotten any OTA software updates since I picked up the car from my dealership in the 2 week of March. Also I don’t see any recalls against my VIN# when checking on the website. Do you think I should make a beeline to my dealership (even though I expect very little out of them as they primarily sell commercial trucks) or just patiently wait for the software update to come through for the recall. Adding screenshot of my last update that I had gotten when picking up my car.

I honestly think this is what is going on at Ford with regards to the GT and GT PEs.

In my case, I can't do even that - every time I restart the car my choice is gone and schedule is back to Thursday midnight.

Folks, it might still be a month, possibly longer before you get the OTA because of staged rollouts. If you are taking a trip with DCFC before Aug 15th, I would recommend you keep you dealer appointment to have the updates done if you are worried. You can always cancel your appointment if you get the OTA beforehand.

Then I think your issue is just one of the weird things the car does once and a while. Mine has not done that, but it has done other weird things that clear up the next time I get in the car. Don't worry about it.

If you get the OTA, you will be notified and you will see it in Sync and FordPass.

So if I have horrible AT&T signal near me, then it won't update? Also, my software update scheduling only allows me to schedule it for one day a week, not daily. What do I have to download to change that?
