To everyone that complained about the brake feel before, you suck lol. This new less aggressive braking is garbage in 1PD.
There’s literally no more fine control on steep inclines. I have a pretty steep driveway and I used to be able to inch backwards in reverse with just the accelerator. Now it practically rolls freely which makes no sense, steep incline is when you need the most control.
Regen is also less aggressive, probably an effort to reduce heat in the contactors

Is a “sports” car people, it’s supposed to have responsive brakes ?.

I got the notification the recall was ready. (didn't have auto schedule on, as I was out of all connection range camping for a week) When I returned, I initiated the update, and an hour later got the "update unsuccessful" message.

Does anyone know how long before they attempt to send it again? It's been about a week and I have yet to have it attempted a 2nd time.

My updates were exactly the same as yours. Must be ‘Premium’ month.

I’ve got a 2021 GTPE 10/21 build date not in EA. I got the 2.8.3 update on 7/26 and got the 22S41 update today. Now need to cancel my dealer appointment for Friday…

I got the safety recall update done Friday by the dealer. When I got back in the car, I had a notification that my first PowerUp (2.8.2) installed while at the dealer.

It broke the car’s departure and comfort feature. The settings were still there but the car wouldn’t start at the specified days and times. Today, I cleared them, turned the car off, and went inside. I used FordPass to set a time for 20 minutes in the future. It came on when the time arrived, so I then set all my times back and the car started as expected at the end of work today.

The only problem I have right now is they didn’t update my GWM(fix for charging values reporting back to the server) and they have a consistent DTC that won’t clear, P2797:00:AF, which is the electronic/auxiliary pump. The dealer wants me to go back early next week for them to look at that DTC. I haven’t been able to determine if that is related to the HVBJB using Google so it looks like my issue is unique at the moment.

Is that related to the HVBJB?

And will a future PowerUp update my GWM and also the driver seat’s module, which has an available update in FDRS?
Quick update in case someone comes looking for this code. It’s Wednesday night at the time of this post. The tech at the dealership used his pinpoint tests and determined the “front oil pump” isn’t working. I think the service advisor meant coolant pump, given its an BEV. The tech made a comment to the service advisor that “the pinpoint tests weren’t updated for the Mach-E in the service manual and had to start broader and do more than the usual pinpoint tests for P2797.” Pump and O-Rings are in order now, hoping the parts arrive Friday morning.

I told you they'd need to drop the motor to replace the pump a month ago in post #247. I guess your dealer is really slow at diagnostics...

Yeah, it has been a painful experience. I still had to drive the car despite that fact.

When you told me, I was waiting for them to reschedule. They FINALLY rescheduled me for last Monday so I dropped it off at the appointed time and the car ended up just sitting at the dealer until this morning, nine days later. I’ve been waiting that long for them to get to it. FRUSTRATING!

I called the mothership and explained what was going on with the car and how I couldn’t get a loaner from the dealer after waiting 3 weeks. They approved me to get a rental and be reimbursed for it after I get my car back.

After reading your post, I was hoping it was a loose connector or bad fuse that was missed at the factory. It has been out essentially since I took delivery. Unfortunately, you were right. I appreciate you sharing what it would involve though. I’d prefer the straight truth rather than beating around the bushes. ?

turn your headlamps off. Update will not run unless headlamps are OFF(no auto. - off)
If you leave them on auto. the headlamps will turn on and stay on and the OTA will not run. Let it sit and take a rest. Initiate it again and it works (remember your reverse braking shuts off and 1P turns off after the update. The reverse braking is on again after you drive it. You have to go in and switch 1P back on)

Folks, just a heads up - I got the OTA recall update fixing the 22S41 last week. Today when driving home from work i got the SSN error and the FordPass app shows "Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power and High Voltage Battery Warning". That said, the car did not stall. I pulled over, turned it off, waited 2 mins, then turned it back on but the errors were still there. The car still drove as i was able to make it home 10 miles away. I am gonna call the dealer tomorrow morning to have the recall serviced properly. Proof that a software fix for a hardware issue is not a solution. Ford needs to step up the game here, a $60k car potentially being a giant paperweight on the road is just unacceptable and ridiculous by all means. And more insult to the wound is that i expected the OTA recall would've prevented this from happening to me... guess not!

the OTA recall seems to guarantee sooner failure.
Guess I should plan ahead and talk to dealer ASAP.
Hope springs eternal, they say!!!
