I was referring to the 2022 Select with technology/comfort package upgrade. I was noting that they basically incorporated that technology part of the package into the standard package for 2023.

If comparing to Comfort and Tech, a few other differences are
-Blue Cruise and 360 Camera is only available for a 90 day trial (added cost to extend)
-no power liftgate
-no cargo area cover

I'm really intrigued what the cost will be to extend BlueCruise. The main reason I got the Comfort/Tech package on my '22 was for BlueCruise. Other than that, it's really just the power folding mirrors (tight garage) that I would miss.

Will Ford sell all the Mach e at the stated price increases for 2023? Is this ev pricing itself out of sales? After all,a 50k 5 year loan at 0 % interest is 850 a month. Can Jane and Joe Sixpack handle this payment?

The average new car price is ~$48K
The average EV new car price is ~$66K

The average price increase year on year is ~13% so far... news to nobody... price increases aren't done.

The "average" person has not been able to buy the "average" new car for decades. The top 1/3 of income earners buy most new cars.

Tesla MYP right now at $69990, is $6k cheaper than GTPE with this pricing, if Tesla qualifies for the $7500, it's a no brainer to do a Tesla over a Mach E, specially when you can get higher top speed and no performance limit.

Wow, what a hike. Imo, the group that really wins with this news is Volkswagen. With ID4s starting to come off the line in Tennessee and eligible for the tax rebate, I think they are going to move a lot of product with a starting MSRP of $37,495. I much prefer the Mach E, but that's a 10K difference in starting MSRP. Glad I got the Mach E when I did, I'm sure others here are feeling the same.

Good thing I get A-Plan, but I'm also not buying a 2023. Got my 2022 in May after driving a 2023 for 10 1/2 months. The only way I'm buying again is if there was a 2022 on the lot near the end of this year, same as what I have, dealer was taking A-Plan and I could flip my 2022. Highly unlikely.

My vehicle (2022 Premium AWD Ext Range plus Rapid Red paint) would be $7,980 more in 2023. The one I am waiting on is $58295 (not including $1100 destination), the new version is $66275 from what I can tell. Wow.

But you’d still have a $70K heap of shit. Yeah, I said it. It rides like an oxcart, looks like a melted turtle gum drop and is seen at literally every. Single. Stoplight. At least here in CenTX. Plus, it can’t even touch its advertised range. No thanks. And I hate the 5 second GT limiter.

If you asked me if I’d rather purchase a Model Y P or a GTPE I’d say “I’ll have the Blazer SS EV, thanks.”
