“Not sure why Ford was so focused on the reduced charge time that they forgot to highlight these huge improvements to 0-60 times:
Standard range RWD: 5.6s (MY23: 6.3s)
Standard range AWD: 4.6s (MY23: 4.8s)
Extended range RWD: 5.2s (MY23: 6.1s)
Extended range AWD: 4.1s (MY23: 4.8s)
GT with Performance Package: 3.3s (MY23 GTPE: 3.5s)
All this plus an increase in range? This is some really respectable mid-life improvements and makes me bullish about Ford’s in-house motor which seems to be driving these improvements.
As a comparison, all the comparable Model Y trims are now slower than the Mach-E:
Model Y Standard range RWD: 6.6s
Model Y Long Range AWD: 4.8s
Model Y Performance: 3.5s”
Does this make the Mach-E the performance king of this class? I don’t think any of the Hyundai/Kia/VW products even come close at this point.
