My replacement arrived yesterday. The adapter was in the same "Ford - Our Gift For You" box and the box had been shipped inside a padded brown envelope. It's obvious that the enveloped had been damaged at some point along the way as the package had been rolled into a ball and hurriedly wrapped every which way with packing tape. Inside the envelop I found the box and the return instructions, but there was no return shipping label. I called the number on the instruction sheet but the CSR wasn't able to assist. He said he'd have to send the problem to their "operations" unit and that I should hear from them in the next 5 days. We'll see...
If you don’t get the return label, they might not want the adapter back all that badly.

Did you get an notification email that it was on its way or did it just show up randomly?

That's strange. The return label was in my package along with a plastic bag to return the old adapter including instructions on how to return the adapter.

Have you gotten an email? Check your spam folder maybe. I got an email Nov 12, got it delivered Nov 14, and my Ford.com status also says "in production". Having seen a 59k ship I hope yours is on the way.

Did you get an notification email that it was on its way or did it just show up randomly?
I received the email about the replacement on Oct. 18 and then on Nov. 15, the email stating it had been shipped. I never did get the tracking link to work for me though. The package showed up on Monday.

I received my replacement adapter today. The mailing envelope was ripped. I was lucky the return shipment bag and label didn't fall out. I am thinking that's what happened to @RonOinAZ who didn't get a return label.

The return bag is not big enough to put the box the original adapter came in. Instead, I FIRST put the FedEx label on the bag and slipped in the defective adapter which matched the lot number on the instruction sheet. I will drop it off to FedEx no later than November 22nd.

I got my replacement adapter. Funny it looks identical. Looks like it’s a specific part number only from adapters shipped in June. I imagine the general delays are because they probably put in a stop ship order back in June until they could fix the issue. Looks like the label is shipping these back to a Ford redistribution center.

I did get an email notification from Ford and from FedEx once it was enroute.

interesting my adapter and box fit perfectly into the white plastic sleeve they sent. Label on, dropped off at fedex

I’m really keen to get my replacement but it’s been radio silence since I got the initial replacement email.

Did they give up replacing these things?
I don’t know. All I know is there was one flurry of people that got their replacement adapters. Maybe the second batch of replacements is coming next month? Maybe in two months? Maybe…? ??

I fully expect that they will be shipping “soon™️.” ?‍♂?
