The lack of real old fashioned mechanical door handles which can actually get you into the car if the battery is dead instead of these stupid push a button and hope your door opens disasters.

I also dislike the walk away honk that can't be disabled in the settings. I have Forscan and plan on disabling it, I just haven't done it yet.

I can mess with the radio all I want when driving, but I can't search or navigate the music on my USB drive?

No way to turn off the start up and exit sounds. Can't my car just be quiet when I turn it on or off?

The ridiculously loud backup beeper. It has been cold so I haven't tried any of the work arounds to tone it down.

The following aren't bugs, and are probably more a lack of features than features. But they still frustrate me.

The lack of an energy use history and graph of usage. What is included on "This Trip" and the trip meter is pretty spartan compared to every other EV I've owned. Even the Bolt's tracking rate of kW-hr every 5 mi was better than what we have. Tesla's usage graphing is nice as you could visually see how you were under or over your calculated consumption during a trip and make adjustments to your driving.

No easy way way to start charging now to XX%, you have to edit your Home settings or use the app and monitor and stop charging. Correct me if I'm wrong and there's a way to make the car start charging immediately to a certain percentage and stop. Other EVs I've owned easily let you do this.

The non-GT models don't have a power/regen meter. I plan on enabling this too with Forscan, but it is about worthless compared to other EVs. The Bolt's meter gives energy being used and put back, as does Tesla.

There's lots of things I do really like, much much more than I dislike. So don't take this as a blanket hate fest on the car.

(Edit to correct something I wasn't aware of.)
I don't have the honk when I walk away unless I am using my fob and push it 2x. I don't have startup/exit sounds either. I also don't have any sound when backing up or it is so low only people outside can hear it. I have a 22 ER Premium. Maybe we have different settings..?

The biggest issue is when you stop and shut car off you have to hurry to get to that screen before passenger opens the door and it goes away. Plus you should not have to do an additional click and wait for the screen to load to open the truck.
Proves an old axiom from the switch to glass cockpit aircraft from the old analog gauges, "There's more than one way to do things." The last time (3 days ago, the last time the car was driven) I opened the liftgate from the screen before I pressed the power button to shut down the car. Honestly, I usually shut down the car, exit, walk to the back, and press the exterior button on the liftgate.

Drag. Parasitic drag to be precise. The flush handles are potential mechanical nightmares as well. There are no genuinely good solutions that I can see, but I'm not an engineer or designer so ...

I love the doors the way they are, but I do wish there were a physical key capability somewhere just for emergency purposes. Doesn't need a handle, just a key receptacle. And only one door needed. Or heck, even just the rear liftgate. In an emergency (dead battery), I can crawl in , drop the rear seat back, and release the manual door handle from inside if I had to. Just need a way in without having to wait for someone with a 12v battery to show up and do the bumper jump (if that even works).

That way I could make use of one of those emergency car batteries that I could keep in the car. Catch-22 now though... Does no good to carry one in the car (or frunk) if we can't even get in to use it.

The fact that I cant use the keyboard or most of sync while driving. Sure, its a safety thing, but Tesla has it. How did they get around it and Ford cant or wont? Im not using the crappy voice system and im not pulling over, ill just pull out my phone and use that instead.
Tesla is not the benchmark for responsible OEM behavior.

The lack of an auto dipping wing mirror. Yes, I know there are cameras but I don’t reverse looking at a screen. Additionally in the UK they are always covered in filth.
There is a workaround. You can program one of the 3 seat memory buttons to just dip the mirror.

Why can't @Ford Motor Company make a more useful, informative app that gives us more important information and controls?

Similar to this great app that @kennelh made, that, unfortunately, is currently not working as he is waiting for a change to the API (or something like that - I'm no programmer).

I don't have much to complain about. The lack of a physical liftgate switch might have been the top of my list, but I just added one on the front of my center console, just like the original posts showing how to do it. I use it constantly, and I love it. I don't like the suspension, and at some point, I may try some of the workaround modifications that people have tried. But the only time I notice it is in the rare times that I have someone in the back seat, and I get conscious of how much they're getting jostled around...

One thing that annoys me fairly constantly is that if the car is locked and you open the liftgate with the button on the liftgate itself, the car re-locks itself as soon as the liftgate is closed. It is a very common occurrance for me to go out to my car, open the liftgate to put something in the back, and then hit the button to close it, before walking to the driver's door to get in, and the car locks and the mirrors are folding in by the time I'm going to open the door.

It's not a huge hassle, but I worry that the motors folding the mirrors are getting an extra workout, especially if I go to open the door as they're folding in, which makes them reverse in mid-fold... I have gotten to the point where I just rush to open the front door before the liftgate has finished closing. And I know that I could just close the back with my fancy physical liftgate switch after getting in the car. But if I'm not paying attention, I end up working out my folding mirror motors more than I would like... I haven't poked around Forscan yet to see if there's anything that can be done about that, like a setting that makes opening the liftgate unlock the car in the same way that opening one of the other doors does... And I know that I can turn off the folding mirrors, but my garage is relatively tight with both cars in it, and those few inches make a difference (and I like the puddle lights)...

Other than that, I love the car, and plan to drive it until the day it can't be driven anymore...

That's why there is a button on the back of the car and a control in Ford Pass...
not the same.

I end up doing that as well.

And I shut down the car, exit, lock it, walk to the back and kick-open the liftgate :giggle:

It's a shame that this functionality was not restored after the chip shortage was resolved (it's resolved, right?)

Love all these . Mine is SOOO minor, but I hate that Ford spent money to add "Propulsion Sound' as a feature so I could pretend to be a greaser Motörhead. When the salesman was selling me on the car and told me abut it with a big smile, I said, "Drew, you just gave me a good reason to continue shopping for an EV elsewhere". Who uses this feature????
"I just love, love, LOVE that sound, I use it all the time!" said no one ever.

1. Vent controls BEHIND the frickin' display screen. What brilliant engineer came up with that?
2. Door buttons that don't light up until you actually touch them. I need them to light up the moment my car recognizes my key fob or PaaK so I can see where to push.
