I'm curious about what configuration folks are using for their day-to-day driving.

Personally, I've been rocking 2PD Unbridled, but I'm considering going back to 1PD.

It depends on the road: Unbridle 1PD for most city driving. But I use Whisper 1PD or 2PD for expressway Blue Cruising (Whisper does more gentle acceleration and deceleration.)

Ha! I figured there'd be a few Drive Mode Unavailable "fans". I tried it once... didn't suit me. Hope I don't ever try it again.

Interesting. I'll have to try whisper for BlueCruise. It's definitely a little aggressive in Unbridle.

I believe Drive Mode Unavailable = 2PD Engage because 2PD Engage is the default.

Defaults to Engage, but 1 or 2 PD depends on what you set the car to before getting the “unavailable” warning. It defaults to Engage 1PD for me cause I’m always on Whisper 1PD.

I find the torque reversals in Engage and Unbridled to be too abrupt with the plush motor mounts. Whisper does a better job smoothing the transitions when you kick off cruise or have to lift off 1PD fully.

Honestly I wish we could mix and match:
  • High regen level from Unbridled
  • High steering assist from Whisper
  • Smoothest ramping profile from Whisper
  • Cruise control acceleration profile from Engage
  • Cruise control deceleration profile from Whisper
  • "Coast on cruise" logic from Whisper
  • Most linear accelerator pedal mapping from Whisper
  • [If I had a GTPE] strongest rebound damping from Unbridled

I haven't gotten to the point where I like 1PD yet, I use 2PD Unbridled around town and 2PD Whisper on trips.

2PD/Unbridled with the occasional Drive Mode Not Available, so I checked both. 🤪🐩

I prefer stuff suspension, low assist. I have gotten used to the high regen drag, so it’s super-weird in DMNA. 🤷‍♂️🐩

Not sure how you guys tolerate 2PD in city traffic, the creeping behavior drives me nuts. It's so binary, it either wants to go 4 MPH or slows hard to 0 MPH when you touch the brake. It's very difficult to maintain a 2 MPH creep in 2PD, I've had to resort to PWM brake pedal applications. I shouldn't have to think like a servo to drive this thing...

I use 1PD Engage. However, my wife uses 1PD Whisper.

That makes sense. I might have to try it out again.
