But how do you do it? I would think that in order to coast, the car must roll freely. But in my experience you will have to press the accelerator to keep the car at the speed you want, even in Whisper. Is it then still coasting?I also like whisper, I like coasting.
There is still friction and wind holding you back, so on a flat surface you will slow down if you don't use energy to overcome that and maintain speed. If I go down a slight hill, my car will maintain speed without pressing the pedal, as now gravity is helping. On a steeper hill, my car will increase speed a bit before some regen will kick in and maintain a slightly faster speed. Any steeper and I will use "L" gear.But how do you do it?
