Auto hold concerns me for the same reason in my garage. If I pull in and stop, and then realize I need to pull in a little more. I have to press hard enough to disengage the auto hold, but not so much that I lunge forward.
Same here. Also had this happen when going into parking spots. This is the primary reason I turned off auto hold (which I otherwise like) and OPD.

I’ve considered turning it off, but I enjoy it so much on the road. I’m learning how to gently press the accelerator to disengage it without the car actually moving.

I also like whisper, I like coasting. After driving the Clarity for two years, I got used to trying to wringing every mile out of the battery. I use "L" for steeper hills, it is very effective. Even in whisper, it holds speed (+2mph) on average hills. My wife does not like engage, too uneven for her. I have not tried unbridled with her in the car. For going down average roads, I don't see the point of unbridled, it would seem to be more useful on windy roads.

In this situation, I would consider backing up a little bit first if you have the freedom of movement before slowly edging forward.

I find unbridled useful on some highways where speeds are high, there are cars right next to me, and the road is curving.

The heavier steering feel makes it so the steering is more precise and I feel more confident that I can maintain my course without getting close to the other lane. The heavier steering makes it harder for me to inadvertently nudge the steering wheel due to the high speed movement of the car.

Sixteen days with the car and 925 miles traveled, it's been Engaged with 1PD the whole time. I really like the 1PD and found it easy to use and won't be going back to using the brake. I'm going to try Unbridled with 1PD for the next 1000 miles and see how it is under various traffic conditions.

Two weeks in and I've been alternating between Whisper and Engage, both with OPD. I've been leaning a bit more toward Whisper because...wait for it...I like the graphics on the driver display better. One pedal drive is stronger than on my i3 so still adapting a bit. Once we return the i3 lease tomorrow, that should be easier since I won't be rotating between the two cars anymore...

I totally get the graphics thing, I wish I could have the unbridled animation on all drive modes. Love the Art Deco diagrid look.

Engage 1 Pedal off. A big turnoff of the Tesla Model Y was it was only 1 pedal mode. I like coasting. The break coach on engage with the one pedal off is actually fun and informative. So this basically got to be my favorite mode. It makes the car so damn enjoyable.

Unbridled with 1PD on. Started with Engage mode but like the more sports car feel of unbridled. Also noticed for my daily commute that range efficiency was the same. 3.3 Kw/mile

I've been using engage for a bit now. I turned off 1PD because it's tough in parking lots etc. I'm still playing with the modes for feel and have not made a decision yet.
