Forget about the bugs, what "feature" annoys you most?

One more for my list: what the hell is the difference between “vehicle” and “general” settings? I can never remember which category has the settings I need. It’s a damn vehicle, the general settings are still vehicle settings.

Point taken. I also wonder about such categories. I dislike 'General' or 'Miscellaneous' - although misc. is not part of the Mach-e menu. I often complain that engineers do not write effectively, e.g. manuals but, in this case seems the engineers just settled for 'General'.

Love all these . Mine is SOOO minor, but I hate that Ford spent money to add "Propulsion Sound' as a feature so I could pretend to be a greaser Motörhead. When the salesman was selling me on the car and told me abut it with a big smile, I said, "Drew, you just gave me a good reason to continue shopping for an EV elsewhere". Who uses this feature????
I showed my father this once because he said he missed the sound of a V8 in the car, I said "oh it's still got it, check this out" we started bursting out laughing when I turned it on because of how silly it sounds.

You should give reversing while looking at the screen a try. You owe it to yourself not to park like it’s Y2K.
The screen is useful if spaces are marked when parallel parking, E.g. you can see if you bonnet or boot is poking into the next space. But watching the curb on either side is much clearer with a dipped mirror; even when the cameras are clean.

You get a much wider field of vision looking between the windscreen and mirrors than looking at the screen. Yes, I know there is cross traffic detection, but these features are aides and shouldn’t be relied upon.

I'm curious, what is it you miss in the Kia?
I just knew someone would ask this, so here I go.

Several things but it is only me and the way I drive. I have a rental from Hertz for a month and have driven it about 700 miles at this time. I like how it drives and kinda like the looks. It is a 2022 EV6 RWD Wind trim.

- 1 pedal option not linked to your profile. You must turn it on each time you re start the car
- I hate the door handles.
- Controls for climate and radio use the same knobs and seem to always be on the wrong item. I end up turning up the temp when I wanted to turn up the radio volume and vice versa
- Have to use key fob to unlock doors on walk up. There is a way to press door handle in to lock and unlock but it is difficult to use and does not work reliably
- No garage opener buttons
- Car Play not connected via bluetooth must be connected with charging cable
- No indication of predicted charge % at destination in nav screen or in driver screen.
- Meridian sound system inferior to MachE system
- Kia charges monthly fee for the remote start, unlock, etc feature
- More road noise than MachE
- Climate system blows cold air on start up so I turn up the temp and then it gets to hot. Then the temp controls are set for radio and in trying to turn down the temp I end up turning down radio volume. (I know this one is really funny when I tell people about it)
- No kick sensor to open hatch but if you set it to detect the key fob then the hatch opens every time you walk by it.
- Interior not as nice as the MachE
- Info screen is smaller than MachE
.....

Would I own one, well maybe but I would have to move up to the GT trim level.

Wait until you find out that tire pressure is an APP, and not under Vehicle.

I don't use the Apple/Android/sync stuff, so I have no idea what it is. When I get a phone call, I look for a business with a large lot, pull in and return the call. Never tried the AM/FM radio, only use three channels on Sirius or turn it off and converse with passenger. Never tried the memory seat/mirrors as I am the only driver. Heck, I didn't even know you could fold the mirrors in by a button. I don't use car washes. Seen too much damage to previous cars. Wash it myself.

A few things that annoy me after seven months/6000 miles:

1 The stiff suspension, even worse than my previous Taurus. When I bought the Taurus, it was the largest sedan that Ford made. I wanted a living room sofa ride like my 1967 Mercury. Nope. The MME is even worse than the Taurus, feel every bump especially on our "chip and seal" county roads.

2 The double beep when exiting I'm used to, although I always warn the spouse if I step out of the car.

3 Lane centering - it doesn't work: At least not on our rural roads that may or may not have lines painted. On highways, it would pull me to the center of the road, then jerk back. Then it would wander to the edge before jerking back to the center of the lane. Almost went off the road a couple times on gentle curves on a state highway with newly painted lines. I shut it off. Never once had an opportunity to try the Blue Cruise in the three-month free trial.

4 The center icon that tells me I am near the edge/center of the road. Maybe I want to cut the corner sharp, Andretti style.

5 Navigation freezing after enlarging a section of the map. I always figure out my route before I leave home. Occasionally, I will use the navigation map to see where my upcoming turn is. If I enlarge (with two fingers) a section of the map, the map will freeze and the arrow representing your location will wander off the screen. The only way I have found to reset it is to pull over, set a location for a trip and then cancel it. PITA

6 Backup noise: I am sure was mandated by oil interests. Heck, my old Taurus (or most cars) are nearly silent with stock exhaust, but no back up beeper. With the windows always closed, I never realized it was so loud.

7 Switching radio and driving modes on startup. I always drive in coast, I mean Whisper mode. On start up, sometimes it is in another mode or the Sirius radio is on a strange station. Not a biggie, just a couple taps to fix it.

The suspension, I don't like, everything else listed is minor.

Have you guys ever tried the voice activated Ford Assistent?
It is, by far, the most horrible feature on this car.

Check the settings to see if you have Driver Profiles turned on or off. If you're the only driver, it's better just to turn it off. The profiles sometimes don't load properly, causing things like drive mode and audio settings to revert back to some default. But if you turn Driver Profiles off, it just leaves all settings in place from how you last left them.

I turned mine off in 2021 to avoid that problem and rarely have that particular quirk anymore.

Where is the curb here?
IMG_2643.jpeg
You need to keep your cameras clean, bruh! The 360 is the way to go. And I live smack dead in the middle of the city with tons of curbs all over.
