Ok, I might have been too optimistic. I called my dealer this afternoon to see when they thought it would arrive and they told me its in Michigan! This is while Ford Chat said it was in KC and the rail line (NS) said the rail car (which the dealer gave me) arrived in JAX.

As others have said - Ford really needs to modernize their vehicle tracking for car order shipments! Maybe they could buy some UPS or FedEx software.

Any recommendations on using the FordPass app to Activate Vehicle?

Why would it go to Michigan if your located in Florida? Maybe that's the route that the train takes?
But I would tend to trust the NS tracking more than the dealer ..

After 8.5 months my Mach E (aka Knight Rider) is finally home. Dealer process was relatively smooth and traded my 2014 Mazda 3 hatchback as they offered $200 more than my highest offer. Finance guy did not try to sell me on any additional warranties or anything. That was the complete opposite experience we had last month when buying our Jeep.

As mentioned previously I asked the dealer to not wash or detail the car. Every single sticker and protective cover was still on the car when I got there. Felt like Christmas morning when I got home and removed everything ?. Gave the car a quick wash but did not have time to use Adam's Iron Remover. Honestly, not sure if I even need to as the paint looked pretty darn good to my amateur eyes. I did unfortunately notice a scratch right under my driver's side headlight. Going to see if I can polish it out myself or just live with it.

Wife drove the car and surprised how different it is from her ICE Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Well duh ?. Our 2 girls (4 and 7) had an absolute blast playing with the doors, both from inside and out. Only 2 complaints from them (so far). 1) they wished the "cool" (ambient) lighting extended to the backseat and 2) wished the headliner was black . Definitely my kids ?. First family trip was to Culver's for ice cream.

If you plan to get paint protected and you want to have the car free of scratches don't let them wash it. The dealer just washes the car to sell it to you and move on. They do a very poor job during washing and they will put scratches and swirl marks on your brand new paint. @minders has a very good step by step detailing process she did on her MME.

I just checked my order status and my delivery date was pushed out over a month to 12/6/2022 - 12/12/2022! I’d love to know what’s really going on. Especially since last week the dealer emailed me the status page which showed shipped on that specific rail car with location Muncie, KS which I then tracked via the NS phone service to Jacksonville.

My dealer looked it up on vinview yesterday and it still showed that it was in Kansas city. Try checking in with them.

Yes, I did call the dealer (they are not using Vinview) and he said it was in Michigan but I'm pretty sure that was wrong. I just went on Ford Chat and they said it was still in Muncie, KS on Ramp 6U. They also provided the same NS railcar # and a new est. arrival of Dec. 12. All I can think is I was tracking the right rail car but it didn't have my car on it. They must be backlogged with shipments.

So, my estimated delivery date got moved up from the week of 11/4 to 10/29-11/4. I personally haven't done any of the Ford Chat stuff or rail car tracking so, I have no idea where my car is. I guess we shall see if it shows up this week!

The vehicle has been Shipped Rail - Railcar # TTGX158489 (Norfolk Southern Corp ) on Ramp 6U, Muncie, KS as of today Oct-29-2022, 11:58 CT. There is an ETA for delivery of your vehicle to your selling dealership of November 15th - November 21st 2022.

Spoke to Ford chat earlier today.

Still got the same "vehicle location is Ramp 6P, Kansas City Mc, MO" that I have been getting since Oct 20.

However for the first time, the message also included "The Convoy # is 1362769334 (Jack Cooper Transport )."

From my experience that means that it's being transported to next rail line ..
I was in that status for a couple of days and now got the next rail line info

It was delivered to ramp 6r Kansas on 23rd and only on 27th got moved to 6p :⁠-⁠( the wait is killing me
