How were your battery other temps after DCFC and driving in such heat? Were you running CarScanner to check your temps and Amperage being pulled by the car during driving?
i had made the decision not to watch, too time consuming with the kids and would just cause anxiety. I let the car do what it should. I will say however that the bluecruise is fabulous on long straights with no wind. And as a side note, I’m sure everyone thought I was drunk from the constant ping pong. Lol. My wife is calling it Drunken Bluecruising.

Correct and Correct

If you want to do them yourself you'll also need a laptop, battery supply and mongoose or other compatible OBDII adapter. I had the laptop but the battery supply and adapter I got cost a total of $1k on top of the $925.
Ouch. Thanks. I am going to leave it to you. ;)

My car's at the dealership now for the recall fix (ostensibly) and the 10k servicing. Will keep folks posted.

I just finished a 3,000 mile road trip yesterday spread out into 5 travel days with nothing but DCFC the entire way—at least 3-4 times a day and 8-9 driving hours per day in the summer heat (not extreme heat but 80s/90s). I'll put together a thread about the trip at a later date, but just wanted to tell folks considering a trip about my success. I was pretty worried since I didn't have the recall done or get the OTA during the trip, but I took some precautions (whisper mode 5 mins before DCFC, wait 5 mins before starting and after finishing DCFC, no hard acceleration before/after DCFC) that may have helped.

Diagnostic Trouble Code. The recall software trouble codes could be reset which is normal troubleshooting process for the dealerships. There have been cases where the dealerships were just resetting the recall trouble codes rather than following the service manual which says to replace the HVBJB. It is possible the new version will be persistent and not easily reset.
Have you seen the DTC diagnostic chart? Please post it if you have access. I highly doubt it is as simple as DTC X=Replace HVBJB, but I did see one or two code charts like that in my career.

The service manual for the DTC from the recall software says to drop the battery, ensure the HVBJB is seated correctly and if it is, then replace the HVBJB.

Yeah, this is going to be quite the mess to untangle. Now there will be cars with closed out recalls that never actually got the updates AND cars that had the updates applied but don't have the recall closed out because they were applied DIY. Ford should probably just start over with their recall database by pulling current versions of the modules for every car from whatever database FDRS uses.
If someone already got the original recall "patch" via OTA, is there a mechanism whereby Ford can just resend the updated patch to all affected VINs and it will overwrite the original one?

That's probably the better option overall and if something happens you can just deal with it.

Ok y'all... Fun is over.

The updates aren't available due to a server side error. Ford is working to restore their functionality. No time frame has been given for resolution.

This is confirmed from Ford and I was okayed to release that information.
