3/14/22 Build Week Gang

I went to look for my picture, which doesn't show (I'm on android as well), but I did see that a Features and Settings section now appears and give me Wi-fi Hotspot options. Before that was just showing driving data. Small progress.

While I was in the app I clicked the Activate Vehicle button for fun. Before I would just get an error. This time it actually said it was trying and then told me to click the prompt in the car. Something must be waking up.

Oooooo I see that, Maybe they ran out of Ice Blue Paint

The runs are not in sequence too, my batch ran backwards first in the am then forwards in the pm, this is where I wish I knew someone in manufacturing, Im sure they would have some valuable insights.

All we are doing here is data mining, so we can visualize our cars going down the line. Visualizing in our table has given us some idea, but not enough folks are obsessing like us , so we have some holes.

Happy (?) Monday everybody

1 additional vehicle built on 3/19 from my tracking of build week 3/7. No additional shipments.

Not much, but at least there's some slow progress still being made down at the plant.

Asked my salesman at the dealership to check the status of my car, he said it was marked as “Produced, waiting on shipment”. Not sure what that means. Waiting on train cars? Waiting on enough cars to fill up a train? The specific word “Produced” makes me thing they are not waiting on shipment of chips.

Interesting, and your online tracker still says in production?

Not sure what lag there could be between the dealer seeing "produced" and the tracker updating to built. I would have imagined they would have the same trigger.

My tracker has entered the “I don’t wanna work” mode. So I don’t know what it’s status is. But I haven’t received the “Built” or “Shipped” emails.

In any case, a lot of 3/7 build week's vehicles seem to be taking 6-8 days to move from "in production" to "built", so that lines up with your batch. Hopefully some update in the next 1-2 days (considering today is supposed to be a holiday with the plant down).

Will be interesting to see what @Av8tor reports from the dealer as well. I haven't bothered reaching out to mine as they don't seem interested in getting back to me based on previous experience.

E: ended up shooting my guy a text, not holding my breath on a response but will update if I hear anything.

I checked with my salesman this morning and he said his info shows the vehicle is at the plant (not a parking lot) and has an “end date” (I.e., delivery) of April 25.

Really surprised, as noted in my edit I shot my guy a text - he responded within 2 mins.

"Your Mach-E has been built and is waiting to be released for shipping. ETA is currently 4/24-4/30"

That sounds a lot like my guy’s “Produced, waiting on shipment”!

Still cautiously optimistic, as Jan build weeks (that were later put on chip hold for 2 months) had the same thing showing up on VVR, which the dealer is pulling this info from.

At the risk of being naive, the VVR for Brendanmcgowan2 indicates his shipping window is April 12-18 with no suggestion his vehicle is in chip hold status. Seems like the dealer's VVR should be more likely up to date than the Ford Tracking system for buyers. Several of us have reported similar VVR's, so shouldn't we enjoy cautious optimism? Light at the end of the tunnel? At long last love?
