After 3 years and 3 months, my ChargePoint Home Flex has died on me. The best their support would offer is a 10% discount on a new one, so I’m looking to switch brands. I may get it covered by my credit card’s extended warranty protection at least.
I’m looking for recommendations for an EV charger with a 14-50 plug for 32A charging on a 40A circuit. It is inside my garage and just used to charge my Mach E. Currently I’m not using any of the smart features on the ChargePoint, but they would be nice to have. I don’t currently have solar but have been thinking about adding solar plus potentially battery storage as well, so I’m curious if anyone has experience with the Enphase IQ charger and if its additional features are worth the cost. Support for bidirectional charging would be a wish list item, but I understand that there’s a good chance that whatever I get to replace the Mach E might not be compatible with it anyway. Thanks in advance.
