I wonder if one of the modules updated for 21P22 changes something with the gear shift?

Just got 21P22 done two days ago, along with glass repairs.

Tonight when parking in my garage, I noticed an audible click when releasing the brake pedal.

While the car is still on, if I press the brake pedal, I hear another click. Release - click, depress - click. It's repeatable.

I realized that the clicking is from a latch/pin/whatever in the gear shifter. I can feel it locking or unlocking with the click.

Anyway, just something new... I never noticed/heard this clicking before tonight.

I just spoke with a dealer service department in advance of bringing my car in for a 10K checkup and asked about this program. I have a Job 1 Premium (though it did not require any of the glass work). They say that when they look in Oasis, there is nothing showing for the car. Does this sound right, or are they missing something? My sense was that I'd need a dealer to perform this 21P22 update.

Well, you win the shady dealer lotto. They entered in 21P22 into FDRS so they could bill it and did NO updates. Below is what is STILL available.

All I have noticed is that when it starts charging, it is much quieter while charging. The normal charging groaning noise on the car has disappeared.

Happy to, looks like you have a few remaining updates available and can cross check these with 21P22 to see if any were missed, but I believe the only one was OBCC. It does look like they did do the ABS update but that one bugs and doesn't clear. They also do appear to have done the OBCC update but I'm unsure why it wouldn't have cleared by now, it didn't throw any errors. Your car appears to have the GWM bug where it says ethernet failure with IPMA. I'm surprised they left this and didn't even apply the GWM update you have available...

You can google "DSP Mach e bulletin" and find the relevant TSB for that one and the others not part of 21P22 and try and get the dealer to do them by claiming the relevant issue in the bulletin, if your dealer is unwilling to just do them all for you.

What software version have you received OTA? If you're on any of the 2.XXX updates, then I would think you're fine to get BC OTA. It would all depend if you really want anything in this update or are having issues - Fan noise while level 2 charging, PaaK reliability fixes, door issues (front door not unlocking unless another door is unlocked first), charging curve improvement, GOM accuracy improvements, etc. Doesn't look like you have an APIM or TCU update available, so I'd think you're on at least 2.1.0 with 2.3.0/2.4 being next since you have the GWM update available?

Also, keep in mind it might be harder to come back the longer you wait, if your dealer is a lame-O, to do all the updates. And since they already billed it for your VIN, it will be tough to find another dealer willing to take it over, so to speak.

Hey Neil, I took mine to another dealer (owned by the same group). They are saying they updated it and its ready for pickup. Would you terrible mind running my vin again to see if they missed anything?

That is accurate, ABS doesn't clear when its done successfully, it is bugged. But these updates are not that new, I don't believe. So him saying they just came out isn't correct, I think they just stuck to 21P22 and ignored the rest. Super odd when they were getting that error and still chose not to do the update to try and fix it. Hopefully they're kind enough to do these for you.

That's literally the list from 21P22. And that's all you're entitled to free, unless you have a demonstrable problem solved by a TSB. Keeping every module updated is not part of the dealer's responsibility, nor of your warranty.

Hi again,
I took my car into my dealer on Wednesday to check the updates. They ended up keeping it overnight, as they were having some problems with the updates.
They say it's all done and I will pick up tomorrow. Can you see what is on the list now.??
It would be a nice surprise if Bluecruise was installed too! Not holding my breath.

I've never seen this before... maybe @DevSecOps can chime in? When I try and check your vehicle history to see what updates they've done, I get the below error:

You do have 2 updates left, but I was trying to see if they attempted them. You definitely need the CMR update for BlueCruise, so I'd assume they also did the cruise control update (since they seem to have been showing up together). I would push and try to get them to do these last 2.
