So for those people who have updated the BCM & GFM via FDRS and have tweaked the APIM with Forscan it’s is literally just a server side flag that needs to change to make the button show in the app and make them whole?

Then what are they waiting for??? ?

It's a limitation of their vehicle and not the app. The MME didn't come with the frunk release for a lot of the 2021s, but 2022s (and maybe some Job 2 2021s? I haven't kept up on it that much) have it. Ours has it.

But as was noted it has nothing to do with the FordPass version, so not even worth mentioning in these threads.

2021 Job 2s have it, they have more features than all other MMEs, 2022s and 2023s lost features due to chip shortages.

My pixel took this yesterday morning, at that time I searched the forum and there was no discussion of the app update yet

Why is that pointless? Given that EA's network has been a cluster since Labor Day, and Plug and Charge may not work, activating a charger via FordPass is the only way to utilize the BlueOval Charging Network for many.

If this has been talked about elsewhere sorry I missed it but I do wonder what's up with EA. I did some traveling between 09/26 and 10/02 (CA Central Coast down to San Diego and back) and every EA charger I went had a "Complimentary Session" with no charges for the charge. I did four EA charge sessions totaling 233kWh over 794 miles costing $0!

Is there a major problem with the EA network?

I would totally use this if it played outside the vehicle as you drive along. Hahaha! Sad they nuked being able to fart while moving in the Tesla. The kids on the next street over loved that as we'd drive by.

We got double as I recall but that was last year and we used that up pretty quickly.

Same on my drive from Kentucky thru Ohio (and PA and VW and Maryland) back to Northern Virginia on the final weekend in September. Two Ohio EA charges were complimentary, and only one EA charge, in Maryland, was charged (as in, charged in dollars).

Fall? Meh. My bet is on a Blue Moon Month. The next one is August of 2023. If that’s missed the next opportunity will be May 2025. But honestly, I think they’re waiting for December 2028. That’s a Blue Moon Month that also has a lunar eclipse. The answer, as always, is in the cosmos.

While I can’t speak to the location of the button on screen, the new shape of the button indicates use of the in-house design system - streamlining the UI elements to align more closely to other platforms (like Ford.com).
