No, they are in under controls.
As you don’t need to press and hold. They tucked it under a panel to avoid accidental openings.
I wouldn't entirely say that's the reasoning. It's more of the general confusion that happened before with buttons showing/hiding based on BLE connectivity. Now they're all under a single place so they're not showing/hiding mixed in with non BLE buttons. The drawer concretely segregates everything that is/isn't active based on BLE connectivity at once and denotes if they are/aren't available. I can't express enough how many people struggled with buttons randomly showing/disappearing because of BLE or Paak configurations on the forums or in other feedback channels ?

Preventing accidental opening might be a side effect of the design..

Under the hood, there are some major major improvements. The UI changes will be a bit YMMV, but the reliability, speed and responsiveness updates should be night and day. There was sooo much we wanted to do but couldn’t do to what’s already out there. We absolutely pushed for the best we could do given our existing limits.

We all were very cognizant of the forum complaints and issues — internally we had the same issues and complaints.

This has been a loooong time coming. Heck I remember my initial pitches for it which feels like a lifetime ago.
How do you plan a trip I been looking for how to send an address to the car can't seem to find it.

The Control button showing is for offline capabilities tied to BLE + Paak.

As for the skeleton/placeholder states, this is all connectivity driven. If this doesn't load, there's likely some sort of communications issue happening with your vehicle. This could be wifi, cell, vehicle wifi/cell, vehicle permissions, or anything in between.

This looks like the Android app -- so not my cup off tea on all the issues that could happen locally ?

Have you tried "A Better Route Planner" Works very well for planning trips where you need to charge. Obviously, then you have to check the charging stops on PlugShare..... The main reason we drive the wife's Tesla for trips that require charging is that it is so much easier..though in June?, when I get my adapter, the tables will turn.
Yes, I am well aware of all of the other trip planning options. I have been totally unimpressed with ABRP.

What panel? Also, no more maps, trip planner and available (fast) chargers? You lose features and it's an improvement?
controls is in the vehicle panel (big button middle right of page) and will be enabled if you have PaaK setup and it's connected. the trip planner is gone but available fast chargers is under the energy panel->public charging (looks very similar to charge assist/public charging in the vehicle).

Last knowledge I had, Trip planner is TBD atm. There's some much better stuff being thought out here. I believe it was already noted that the next generation of vehicles will have a much stronger buy into Android Automotive and Ford has a very close relationship with Google in regard. Do with that knowledge as you will.
Would the android automatic OS Trickle down to Mache ??

I guess I’m a little confused, you’re saying press the little fan to start the car or start climate control and then hit the energy below and pull down. I don’t get any kind of result other than it starts the car. I don’t see a button that says start. Now another thing that is strange, you can go to ford.com and log into your account but if you go to sign in and security on this FordPass app the new one it’s gonna make you go through multi function authentication which I did twice now it wants me to use an authenticator by Ford and when you download that it’s either $49 or $99 and I’m not gonna even go there, but you are still go to ford.com and log into your account and see your dashboard.

Thanks for answering all the questions so far @thecodingart ....

Before I update to FP 5.0, I am wondering if it will work properly with my (non-updated in a long time version 4.5.4 Sync) ?

I turned off OTAs in the car long ago because I did not see anything in the release notes I really wanted/needed and I got tired of all the 'side-effects' that started coming along with OTAs...
