FordPass Version 3.28.0 Rolling out

The last couple of days, FordPass has been crashing every time I launch it without exception - gets stuck on the Ford logo and crashes. I was hoping an app update might fix it, and downloaded 3.28.0 just now, but no dice.

yup - installed 3.28.0 this morning. It worked initially, just went back to open it, same problem as when I installed 3.27.0.

I fixed it via reinstallation and resetting of PaaK. Quite annoying.

I got secureialert with OTA 1.4 and Fordpass 3.26.

I have never had SecuriAlert appear, even after getting OTA 1.4, and FordPass 3.26, 3.27, and now 3.28.

Still getting that my car is asleep at times, when of course it is not. Dealer said over a month ago that an OTA update would fix that...

FordPass 3.28.0 on iOS is a no-go for me as well, I've never had issues with the app before but after this update it gets stuck on the Ford logo loading screen and then crashes.

Will have to try to reinstall the app later today when I get home.

That's not unique to you, but in the app it does say a future update will allow the car to communicate in this mode.

Just updated on Android. So far, all the buttons on the Vehicle tab are back as expected every time I open it up instead of having to refresh 5x and then only half of them show up.

Also, there is a new "Dealer" box next to vehicle status and departure time boxes.

My phantom message notification is back. But I'll take it if it means the app is faster

I got SecurAlert, but ... it needs a little work. Went to the grocery store, got out of my car, began shopping, then 5 minutes later, I get an alert saying my door had been opened. I panicked for a second then tapped the notification and saw it was an alert from when I'd left my car 5 minutes before. If that is how it will work normally, it's kind of useless.

The vehicle tab populates quickly now, it was slow after the previous update.

Understood. And your dealer and @zhackwyatt and the FordPass app itself are also in agreement. A future update should fix this.

We're not arrived to that future yet.

Go into Fordpass, account, then settings.

Oddly enough Fordpass has only used up 1% of my battery over the last 2.5 hours. My phone (Pixel 5) also isn't running hot while idle like it did when PaaK was trying to connect. Generally app is more responsive, but there are still times it seems drag.

The real test will be if PaaK works any better.

Same here. Was happening with the last version and is happening with this update. Still having to use fob since unreliable PaaK + young kids is a no go.
