So got the dealer to install the TSB that Ford released and also notified Chargepoint about the issue. Thanks to the members for posting the info about the issue specifically with owners in IL. One question I do have for all that got the update is now that it is able to charge on the 240v line, it was very very loud. There were other mentions about it being loud as the pumps for cooling the battery kick in but this was constant and it just would not stop until it finished charging. Others mentioned that the noise goes back to a small hum after the initial cooling period. I checked and the vents were open but it was really loud. Is this normal ?
Same situation for the first 5-10 mins when I got home from driving it 70 miles in 60-70 degree weather. It stopped and went to a low humm after that.

I am guessing that the battery was warm when you started to charge so the car was also cooling the battery. I am curious when you charge today if it won't be loud because we are sadly back in the high 50s today. I noticed this same thing for me yesterday but today after a short drive it just has the normal humming and some clicking (which is completely normal on most EVs, my Tesla did it too). Just make sure your charge port LEDs are not Amber and you do not have any notifications of charging issues.
You are right, no loud noise today when i plugged it in just now. The regular humming noise which i was expecting. Will try to share some videos of the difference between yesterday and today. Maybe charging is best left to nightimes when it has enough time to cool down. I wonder if anyone else has this issue after driving around in 80+ weather and then charging at home. I guess we will find out next week here in IL.

It is not an issue to charge when it’s warm out or when the battery’s are warm. I would rather have the car charging a warm battery then a cold one. You should charge as normally and not worry about it. It is completely normal for the car to run the fans during warmer weather. Glad everyone is getting the update and having success charging now from home.

Had the updates done yesterday. Last night first time ever charged at home on 240v. Today it won't charge again. :(
Did you try taking it out a few times and reconnecting it? Did you get any amber LEDs on the charge port when it was unsuccessful? This has happened to me and Ford is aware of the issue some of us are having after the update. It’s been working fine for me all week but the week before I had a few times when it took multiple tries for it to work.

No amber. Tried several times. Just blue and no blinking like it used to do then times out and goes blank.

I got software updates on 4/21 (after the manufacturer date cutoff, but before the date of the bulletin for the at-home charging fix) in relation to PAAK issues, which seem to have been improved since the update, btw. Got home from a road trip last night for my first attempt at 240V at-home charging on my ChargePoint Home Flex since end of March, and it worked perfectly!
I'm very happy today.

So I unplugged the Ford charger from the wall, then plugged it in again then plugged into the car right away and its charging again. I will bring the Juice Box home from work on Monday and try that for a while. Its got me a little concerned at this point. But at least its working again right now. Time will tell..

When I brought my car home after the update, I had my mobile charger plugged in and ready to charge. Once successful, I unplugged the mobile charger and plugged in my Grizzl-e and was successful. After reading posts last week where owners noted failures, I ran back out to the garage to try again just to confirm nothing changes. Let's hope an unplug/reconnect took care of any gremlins that were lingering.

Sorry, but I meant to reply to this a month ago. Take a look at ComEd's Hourly Pricing Program. It's saving me $$$ for good burgers. It may save other ComEd users $$$ if they're mostly charging at night. The hourly pricing program is separate and distinct from the Peak Time Savings program. I don't understand all of the Mike Madigan (ComEd) math but I'm saving some money.

I'd like to signup for this but I have a different company that supplies our electricity (Constellation Energy) and Com Ed delivers our electricity and I think you cannot signup unless Com Ed does both (supply and deliver). Our town voted to use Constellation Energy as our supplier so I think that disqualifies me. Do you know if it does?
