I'd like to signup for this but I have a different company that supplies our electricity (Constellation Energy) and Com Ed delivers our electricity and I think you cannot signup unless Com Ed does both (supply and deliver). Our town voted to use Constellation Energy as our supplier so I think that disqualifies me. Do you know if it does?
I'm not familiar with Constellation E. Check out there programs @ https://www.constellation.com/solutions/for-your-home/home-energy-options/electricity.html.

Sorry, but I meant to reply to this a month ago. Take a look at ComEd's Hourly Pricing Program. It's saving me $$$ for good burgers. It may save other ComEd users $$$ if they're mostly charging at night. The hourly pricing program is separate and distinct from the Peak Time Savings program. I don't understand all of the Mike Madigan (ComEd) math but I'm saving some money.

I’m on hourly pricing already, but it’s good that you’re calling it out. I just put in an arbitrary number in my ChargePoint app for per kilowatt pricing. Thanks for posting!

I called to ask about being put on hourly pricing and was told I'm ineligible because we have another company as electric supplier (Constellation Energy). The Village of Frankfort decided a few years ago to use them so that's why I am. Even if we had Comm Ed for both she wasn't sure I'd save money after looking at my previous usage. She said they were figuring something out about calculating if it would be beneficial and said to call back in a few weeks.

Actually you can, in ChargePoint app, put ComEd as hourly pricing and the app will pull the price depending on the prices at that time.

Well, here in Florida, I dropped off my car Wednesday at 10:30 anticipating the 3-4 hours others have mentioned, and they aren't going to be able to get it done by Thursday evening, between the updates and reporting back to Ford their progress and verifying changes. The good news, I guess, is that we are leaving for a week Friday morning and they will pay my Uber bill. Still . . .

Just want to report in that after that update 2 weeks ago I've had 0 problems charging! Both with the travel charger and then with the ChargePoint Home Flex I put in last Wednesday.

Has anyone had the dealer update and it didn’t work? Just got my car back from the dealer, brought it home and it still won’t charge. Guess I’ll be calling my contact at Ford again tomorrow, but I’m getting really tired of having to explain the problem over and over without any answers or solutions. The first OTA update allowed me to charge on the 240, but after the most recent OTA update last week I was unable to charge on the 240. Any suggestions?

Have you tried another home charger at a location that is known to work whether it is another MME owner or someone else with a J1772 plug?

A few questions for you. Did you go into your dealer to get the update per the bulletin link below? I am confused by your comment regarding an OTA update. There has not been any OTA updates to address the Sine wave charging issue. Do you get amber lights on your charge port when trying to connect to your homes 240V Charger? There is another update that will be rolled out soon to further push the limits of the BCM to allow charging with the sine wave curves we are seeing in Illinois and Indiana. Ford is aware that in some very small cases the latest software update to address the sine wave issue creating the 240V charging issue is not enough and therefor there is another dealer installed update forthcoming. I just had it installed on my car as a test. So far so good.

I was unable to charge on a 240 outlet until an OTA update a couple weeks ago- this could be complete coincidence. Then my car got another OTA update last week and it would no longer charge on the 240 outlet- again, could be complete coincidence. No amber lights on charging port. I did go to the dealer today per that bulletin. Our dealer literally had no idea what we were talking about, even though we previously brought the car in for the same issue. They performed the update, but no luck charging afterwards. I’m curious how you get so much information? My dealer is clueless about the car and my numerous calls and emails to Ford haven’t gotten me anywhere. Maybe time to find a different dealer?

I haven’t because I don’t know anyone with a home charger.

What dealer have you been going to and what suburb? Yes, many dealers are clueless. Unfortunately I have been dealing with this since page 1 of this forum :<( with the OP and I just got lucky reaching out to the right folks at Ford corporate. I am here to help so feel free to PM me and I can do what I can too help. Sounds like coincidence because none of the OTAs addresses the sine wave issue which created the 240V charging issues many of us encountered.

Golf Mill Ford in Niles. I’ve been having the issue since the first week I’ve had the car in February and so many have had a very similar experience too, but it’s strange that I was able to charge without any issues for about 2 weeks in April. Thanks so much- I’ll for sure PM you.
