Besides battery technology, BEVs don't have any advantages over ICE vehicles. I don't even have ventilated seats on my MME. Or a heads up display. Or front cameras. Or hands free cruise (my GT doesn't have BC.) And I spent $62k. I could get more technology on a Ford Explorer for less money. Easy.I was referring to technology. The newer ones just have a bigger battery, but similar tech.
And that bigger battery? Been around since 2017.
I’ll ask again more clearly- what technological advances of substance exist in a 2023 Model S that aren’t in a 2013?
My response was to someone saying EVs will age more quickly due to faster technological advancement vs ICE.
I disagree.
You do make a point against the used BEVs about battery state of health. However from what I’ve read the batteries last much longer than an engine or transmission in an ICE, so that wouldn’t make us age more quickly either.

Well, Ford doesn’t make a fob with a frunk button and Mustang logo, so these have to be “remanufactured” to exist. It just means the back cover and trunk button are changed to match our cars. You can do that yourself if you prefer, but this one is already done for you.Remanufactured? ?

He's in Germany. The fobs have frunk buttons over there and those won't work on this side of the pond.In post 16x @LF-X said he got his fob from Ford. That’s why I asked him what the part number was?
Why? Going back to gasoline? My Options "lease" will be up in December of 2025. Can't wait to give it back.
? Figures. I knew it was too good to be true ?He's in Germany. The fobs have frunk buttons over there and those won't work on this side of the pond.
We retain our vehicles for a decagdeHow long are you going to keep your Mach-E?
Since trade in values are plummeting, do you keep it and pay it off or trade it in and get something newer/something else?

Cars are never an investment. I see here on the forum so many people trading or upgrading to another car. Still dont get it. We keep our cars for a decade or more regardless of mileage since we keep our vehicles like new all maintenance completed on time. When our 2011 optima sx turned 100k I had my mechanic flush trans and brake fluid raditor flush fuel filter spark plugs and wires replaced. At 104k I sold it in Apr and bought a model y. Sold it on auto trader in a week for $10k and they came in from 400 miles to pick it up. If you do sell use AT seems to have alot of scam safe guards and was only $59. I have a 06 Jeep Commander 7 seater bought new in 06 when gas hit $3. Got $10k of MSRP of $32500. Just turned 50000 miles. Looks new and really a great ice suv for family events. Never owned a new car until 87. Now 75 and own 2 ev. If model x gets another drop in price may sellHow long are you going to keep your Mach-E?

Cars are not an investment. So we keep our cars for a decade or more. Recently we sold our 2011 optima sx to buy our second ev 2023 model y AWD long range. We still have a 50000 mile 2006 Jeep Commander 7 seater. Bought it new when gas was a very high $3 gallon. $10k off msrp. Only use it for cruises and really deep snow. Looks new with some custom touches. Great family hauler for the whole family. How long are you going to keep your Mach-E?

Price paid??I’ve got a Ford Premium Care warranty (from Granger online). So I plan on keeping the car until 2029 or 150,000 miles.
There’s a 4G modem upgrade kit if you wanted to fix that IIRC.100k, I'm 1/3rd of the way there.
Or until I get tired of working on the suspension
Or until I actually get the suspension dialed in for roughly the same cost as a GTPE
Or until my, bought 2 weeks ago, 8/100k ESP runs out
Or until I get a decent offer on it for a GTPE
Or until there is something better for not $100k+
I piss and moan about this car a lot. I did the same with my FFE. AND yet, I bought 2 FFE's and have over 160K worth of miles on them. It also has charging 'issues' by the inability to set decent charge times that REQUIRED it to go past midnight. It's modem is dead now, but it randomly resets to value charge times I set 7 years ago because it can't talk to the old Ford App so when I delete the value times it randomly resets to the ones from 7 years ago. For the last 4 years I had to reset the car with a 13mm wrench every 2 months so it WOULD value charge, now I DON"T want it to and it does. And I still have it. The MME and it's charging shitshow will probably remain with me for another 7 years as well lol.
It was like $2800, with rental and lighting. 8 years 150k miles Premium care.Price paid??
Yep, about $1200 to do to a car with a $1800 Carvana ‘value’ lolThere’s a 4G modem upgrade kit if you wanted to fix that IIRC.
