No its not that. At 48 amps the car wont even start charging. Whatever they did to the dcfc curve/protection messed up the ac charging.
Here are the Facebook plots from earlier this month. Two different users showed similar behavior. In the red plot, the poster stated that the charge rate was set to 32 Amps.

I'm not convinced this isn't intentional, but my Grizzl-E doesn't make plots like that.

I don't have any graphs to show, but haven't noticed any difference in performance or charging issues on either of our EVSEs at home. Ford Charge Station Pro (from the Lightning) set at 48A and a Grizzl-e set at 32A.

It may be changing rates, but haven't had any issues or errors using either EVSE.

I am seeing something like this, too. Charging at work, with a 32 A - 208 V setup, nothing has changed. But charging at home, with a 40 A - 240 V Grizzl-E, I now see only around 6.2 kW/h charge rate. For the past two years it had been above 8 kW/h in battery from the 9.6 kW electrical power used.

My first theory was that it was just FordPass messing with my head, but I've convinced myself that the average rate is genuinely less than before a recent update.

So i noticed that after 10-15 minutes of constant charging it does this. I am thinking that this must be a temp sensor issue. It may be intentional but i very much doubt it since this new protection blocks anybody charging at 48 amps. I believe they changed the sensitivity of the temp sensor on the charge port and as a side effect it caused this issue on the AC charge

I’m only getting 6kw per hour out of my mobile charger now on 240v. Is that normal? Seems crazy slow. I’ve tried two chargers and keep getting the same.

It does not surprise me that charging speeds are reduced as ambient temps rise, sensors detect, and software prevents damage. I'd rather have slower charge than hardware failures.

'better' solution would require enhanced cooling plumbing around charge port, along conductors, and onward thru HVBJB under bus bars/contactors, and all the way to the batteries.

'21 Select AWD with L2 Chargepoint at home.

I'm not seeing this. Looking at history, seems consistent to be holding at ~7.4kwH ... but maybe i'm lower than everyone else, so i'm in a safer zone to not require the variation?

That's normal. 240V x 32A = 7.6kW. After 10% loss, that's about 6.9kW. FordPass truncates the decimal, so would display that as 6kW.

I just looked at my Emporia Charger App. I charged last night (overnight) at the same 9.5kW I always have.

I received the DC fast charging update on June 3.
I have the Emporia and still consistently 11kW reported by Emporia (10kW reported by Ford pass app).

How do I know if I got the update ?

Just picked her up last weekend....

Ambient temp has no effect on the charge in this case. We've had nights sub 70F so it's not due to ambient temperature.

That is an interesting plot. My Emporia EV charger will vary from 2A-42A (I have max amperage at 42) because I have it set to only charge on excess solar but my graph plots are fairly smooth. As the sun goes down naturally the amperage is less.

I haven't seen any issues with either of our MME's charging from a L2 Grizzl-E charger. Still charging at 8kw per Fordpass.
