So I had a strange issue yesterday. I started the car and it connected to phone via CarPlay and started playing music. Except something was off. All the music seemed to be coming from the passenger side speakers. I went into the sound settings and when I moved the circle icon to the left, I got no sound at all. From both the front and back speakers.

I pulled over and stopped and restarted the car and then everything was back to normal.

Anyone had this happen to them?

Hi Rosario, yes I've had that happen three times now where the left side had no audio. Once I had no audio at all out of either side. Turning the car off, or resetting Sync, fixed it right away. This has only happened with the GT which I have only had for a few months. Had the Premium for 9 months and that never happened once.

I never posted this issue as I felt it's a minor one but now that you mentioned it, thought I would chime in. I remind myself that I'm driving a computer and it can be buggy at times. This is just one of the several little things the car does but doesn't bother me in the least. Overall I love the car for everything else it does right.

Yeah had this happen on Friday, same thing with wireless CarPlay, but when I went to Sirius it was normal, and went back to CarPlay and it was fine.

Just happened on my Premium, changing inputs fixed it.

Hi there! This doesn't sound like an experience we want you to have with your Mach-E. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into this on my end.

@Ford Motor Company This just happened to me on my First Edition E4X. Another have noted, simply switching inputs to FM radio and then back to carplay solved the problem. Likely a CarPlay or Sync issue. Happy to send my VIN for diagnostic purposes if helpful.

I've had four times when I have no sound on the left side, then it works again when I turn on the radio and I can play spotify with apple car.

Just happened to me last night...no sound on the left, switched to SiriusXM and back to Apple Carplay and the left came back. Easier than shutting the car off/turning back on.

Though somebody above mentioned resetting Sync...does that erase any of your personalized settings or it is just like rebooting a phone or a computer?

I am almost convinced this is a CarPlay issue, not an MME issue. I once fixed it by switching from my podcast app to Spotify, both within CarPlay.

This happened again today. I was listening to my podcast app in Carplay, no audio from left side. I switched to Spotify (still within CarPlay), and audio played out of all speakers. Switched back to podcast app, and audio stayed out of all speakers. Since I never exited CarPlay, I think this is probably an Apple issue, not an MME issue.

Yeah, hard to know….without being able to consistently reproduce it finding the culprit is going to be hard. Could be Ford, could be Apple, could be the combination of certain phones. Hopefully it doesn’t occur too often.

If it isn’t a CarPlay issue not sure I’ll have it happen outside of CarPlay anyway…I rarely listen to anything other than CarPlay.

Left speakers stopped working for me today. Don't use CarPlay. Turned the car on and off twice, still have the same issue. Just saw this thread, so will try switching inputs next time I'm in the car. Hope it works.

Same problem with my GT. It happens randomly and quite seldom but always on Carplay. Never on radio or other inputs. Some software that needs update or is it Carplay that is buggy ?
