Strangely Fullerton said they would not program mine because it wasn’t purchased by official Ford parts. I may have to call back and just lie lol
Fullerton programmed mine with no question the bag I gave them even had the 3rd Party logo on it. The Fob and key were in factory sealed packaging though.

My dealer has ordered me a 2nd fob, at his cost, because of the stated PAAK issues. I suspect Ford will change to 2 fobs soon.

What did you pay for your 2nd FOB? My dealer said they were going to do the same but then the cost came to $600.....

Glad to hear, they have been great with the MME, including support for the community. Any dealer who balks really is just pissed they didn't sell it first.

I think the dealer cost for a new FOB is ~$40

Oh, ok. When you said "At his cost" I thought you meant he was selling you one at his cost price. Glad you're getting it for free!

Just ordered a second fob from my dealer. $210 plus tax. Until PaaK is reliable I need this.
I hope that includes programming?

Should be $75 for the exact original OEM FOB and $75 - $100 to program by the dealer.

Yes includes programming.

it’s actually two Ford part numbers: the fob for $160 and the emergency key insert for $50. Must order both together. It is not a standard Ford fob as the dealer had none in stock.

Ford part numbers 164R8310 and 164R8311

While I won't profess any knowledge of the dealer updating process for the Mach-E, using their IDS system on "normal" cars would take a tech at most 10 minutes to add a key, if he was going slow. Prior to Sync 4, one could use FORScan to add a key themselves.

A dealership charging an hour's labor to add a key, or more, is simply outrageous, especially the SELLING DEALER.

It's an easy process, dealer service centers are there to take ones hard earned dollars.

That's what business is all about. Separating the consumer from their money. ?

Aah! The 2 zeros at the end of your first post threw me off. Looks like exact match should work.
I will find out today at my service appointment. Says it was from a 2018 explorer and the main reason I chose it was because it had the ford logo so my wife and I can easily grab the right key programmed to our profile. She is barely 5'2" and I'm 6' so our seat memory is pretty different ?
