Almost 16K on mine now and love this car. I haven't really had any issues with mine. It goes in for recall this Thursday so if that corrects the wind noise issue which is only a minor annoyance this car will be perfect
Same here. 15,200 worry free miles on my car. Purchased in June 2021 and so far no problems. My only complaint is the OTA. My car is stuck on 1.7. Car goes in Wednesday for the recall and hopefully the software will be updated and then I will have no complaints.

The worst part is the waiting, all the chip delays, and seeing other people that ordered at the same time get their car many (up to 8 for some?) months before you do (understand that Ford's system is anything but "first come first serve"). Or having your built car stuck in a chip hold or rail yard somewhere for 3+ months when no one can provide any additional information the whole time. Expect a poor customer service experience, no one will know anything or will make up lies if you ask. Calling or messaging Ford won't get you anywhere. It can be stressful wondering if it will ever come or what shenanigans your dealer will try to pull on you when it finally comes time to buy it. Tweeting Ford management, hoping they see it, and praying for a response in time may be necessary to resolve greedy dealer issues. Your finance guy won't know how to do Ford Options until you can get them in contact with their regional rep for help. Some of us have been waiting almost a whole year, many months longer than anticipated. Your car will have BlueCruise, and OTA updates will hopefully be working by the time you get yours, so you fortunately miss that drama. Plan on it taking up to a year for delivery, and possibly missing out on the tax rebate for 2022 if it's not delivered before the end of the year. Features you ordered may also be removed with little or no warning to you.

Once you get the car it's pretty good and is fun to drive, but you'll have to get used to some odd software bugs, glitches with PAAK, and lack of heat on cold winter days in the northern US and Canada. Understand Ford is very slow/bad at software releases, so expect upwards of 6 months before fixes for even simple issues are released. Getting service at a dealer is also frustrating because of many incompetent service managers and techs (some of which resent EVs) that may not have the proper training or tools to work on your Mach-E even though they work at an EV-certified dealer. You may be turned away from dealer appointments because the service manager didn't understand the nature of the repairs the first time, so 2-3 appointments may be required to solve an issue. If you have a major issue (which is rare, but happens), expect to be without your car for 2-8 weeks (rental coverage is another issue). The long wait is for parts to be procured and delivered (perhaps diverted from the factory), for special EV service tools to arrive, or for special Ford service engineers to arrive to show the dealer mechanics how to work on your car. Last, in some cases you'll have to bring your car to another EV-certified dealer after it's determined the first EV-certified dealer didn't have the required training or tools to do EV repairs.

The car itself is great, but actually getting it and dealing with the abysmal current state of the Ford ecosystem (and the car market in general) can be extremely frustrating and stressful. Other brands may offer a better buying and service experience, although these issues aren't exclusive to Ford. Ford just seems to have the most problems right now all things combined. Believe it or not I've been a lifelong Ford fan, it's been hard to watch the decline in the past few years. A lot of these problems weren't known yet when I ordered, other than the estimated wait time back then (only 4-6 months, ha) I was blissfully ignorant about the extent of the dysfunction.
I disagree.

I think the worst part is that the OP, JerryL has a history of dropping a turd in the punch bowl and then disappearing.

I love this car so much I bought two of them. Which for a financially frugal guy is VERY “not like me at all.”
We’ve got 23 months of ownership between the two cars with 24,000 miles across the two. Not a single real issue. So almost all of my posts here are about the fun I’ve been having customizing them.
Her car did have a stuck update that left the speed sign recognition not working for a few weeks. But I’m not a guy that’s going to go around bitching that my car is undrivable because I have to actively manage my speed. (Besides, it was her car not mine ?).

Just enjoy the ride. I've had zero negative experiences so far. The Mach-E is very fun to drive. My wife has ID 4. Yet she drives MY Mach-E any chance she gets. Its a negative world so must people express there bad experiences but rarely express the good ones.

I think it's possible you are feeling this way because the internet recently has started to explode with good to great feedback on the Ionic 5 and EV6, specifically. Finally, the Mach E has some legitimate non-Tesla competition, and those two cars have some definite leg-ups on the Mach E technology wise.

With that said... the Mach E is still wonderful. In many circles it's still the strongest choice. As was stated earlier, many of the people on forums are the vocal minority voicing complaints - but the silent majority are big fans of the car.
I think the I5 OTA situation will be even worse or nonexistent fwiw, as far as tech I think the only big difference is the V2L and faster charging. I’ll probably pick one up for the wife, but MME is still even in my book.

I ordered a Premium in 1/14/22 and I’m seeing so many negative posts. I’m I making a mistake in buying the Mach E.
In short, you must not use forums much. People with issues - on forums, and in real life - verbalize them. People without issues never say anything.

How many people do you see loudly proclaiming "ALL IS WELL, THINGS ARE PERFECT"?

If you look at the common theme in many of the negative posts on this forum, they usually begin with some form of “I love my MME, but…”

Quite a few members in this thread have stated "best car I've ever owned" and I will say the same goes for me. I had a Premium for 9 months, 10K miles and now a GTPE for 3 months, 4K miles. Have only had a couple of minor announces with the software and that's it. Having to deal with computers and software for many many years, these things don't bother me in the least. Eventually they get worked out. I am fairly sure all of my posts have been positive and hopefully helpful to this forum.

Is my Mach-E the best handling car I have ever owned? Fastest? Most fun to drive? No to all of those but it does them all decently well in one versatile package which keeps me finding excuses to drive it any chance I get. 99% of my charging is at home on solar and not having to stop at gas stations is so satisfying to me. I can't wait to see what's in store for BEV's in the future.

I ordered mine on a whim in February 2021, got it end of June. No real issues just the PAAK and dealership incompetence. 2x times at 2 different dealership to get recall and both times they don't have the parts and said they would order and call me when in. 1st dealership said this in October last year and never called me back. 2nd dealership was 2 weeks ago and still no call. I don't have time to chase down these service departments so I'm just waiting.

I've started looking at other options but the MME is tough to beat in this price point. I'm in no rush so better to drive and wait. I have 5,700 miles so far and trips are a bit harder since the SE is lacking in significant charging stations on the routes I use.

You're making a mistake in reading this forum.

Only a tiny fraction of forum members post, but the vast majority of those that do post complaints. Some are valid and the gnashing of teeth is completely understandable. The rest....

Forums like this attract many more complaints than kudos . . . I haven't had a single problem. Mysteries, yes, but problems, no!

Well, my buying experience was great. Both my local dealer and the one I used in NJ were great. The local one refunded my deposit with no questions asked, and the NJ one had my car ready to go and me out the door in less than an hour after I arrived to pick it up. The deal was exactly what we agreed through email.

It would be good to see some data that indicates Ford has the most problems right now, because my experience is the opposite of that.

I have a service appointment planned for tomorrow to get all the latest software updates. I am not expecting any issues but maybe there will be. If there are, I won't assume the local Kia dealer would do any better. Because likely they have similar issues dealing with the new BEV technology.

This will be my first trip to the service department, except for when I got them to do the state inspection, which they did for free by the way.
