Chris Cervenka from Steeda posted this on the "Mustang Mach E Nation" FB group:
Hey All - I wanted to share that we've been working on some Mach-E R&D here at Steeda! I'm happy to report the adjustable rear sway bar has hit the shelves and man, does it make a difference. We were able to test this bar on both a First Edition and GT Performance Edition with measurable results. More rear stability, less understeer, and a more connected-to-the-road driver feel. If interested, the product link is in the comments and the video will be coming out soon!

A huge thanks to Sergio Rodriguez for letting us borrow both of his Mach-Es to develop this and a few more upcoming parts!

I put larger rear sway bars and new links on both the Subarus I had, it made a big difference! The Subarus had a lot of understeer, taking a corner fast made it sound like the tires were being tortured. I will be very interested in this.

I’m finding the same sku for GT and premium rear sway. No separate category for gtpe I can find. Part Number: LJ9Z5A772A

The GTPE has larger/stiffer sway bars than the GT. You are not going to find it in the online parts dealers. However, if you go to your Ford dealer and give them a VIN for a GT and one for the GTPE, (which is what I did) there are two different part numbers. I mentioned this about 6 months ago when I changed out the springs and shocks on my Premium with the GT versions. I didn't upgrade the sway bars though as I didn't keep the car.

Should have mine by Friday. It should help as the OEM GTPE rear bar is not stiff enough. What I am really looking forward to is DSC Sport coming out with their suspension controller so I can dial in the magneride shocks the way I want to in Unbridled mode. I have their controller on both the Focus RS and GT500 and liked being able to firm up the track setting on both of those cars a bit more.

Why didn’t you keep the car?

Will they for sure do this? Any timeline? Is it easy to self install?

Hey Scott, I wanted a GTPE so sold the Premium to a friend in Arizona. I had no issues with the car and loved it, just wanted the GTPE. Here is my thread on why I did it:
https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/eights-months-with-premium-three-days-with-gt-pe.11151/

Will they for sure do this? Any timeline? Is it easy to self install?
They have told me they were looking into doing it but haven't gone ahead with it yet. I was just talking with them again the other day and they wanted some info on the controller box in the car which I have yet to give to them because have been busy but will get to it in the next day or two.
They normally sell these suspension controllers to people who race their cars and mainly Porsche's. They are not cheap so the average person won't normally spend the money just to fine tune the dampening on their shocks. They are very easy to install. Remove the OEM controller and plug in the new one. You can have them create a file for you to upload to the controller or you can make your own with their software. I will post in the forum if they ever do come out with one. (I sure hope so).

how was GT suspension on the premium?
Hi Alexis, the GT suspension on the Premium was just like driving the GT (non-PE of course). It handled better, rode a little firmer and much less bounce. I posted about this back earlier last year but cannot find the thread right now.

Thanks Jonathan for finding and posting that. ?

I have to say, after re-reading my post, replacing the Premium rear springs with the GT springs did not eliminate the bounce but significantly reduced it and it was reduced even further after I replaced the front springs and front struts and rear shocks. I mean if anyone wants to know how their Premium would ride and handle after replacing the springs and shocks, just drive a GT (non-PE version). I have been in a GT and it was identical to my Premium. While it still does have a bit of a bounce, it isn't nearly as much as the OEM premium.
